Complete the Shell Cup

Lakitu is unlocked as a reward for competing in and completing the Shell Cup. Your placement in the Cup or the speed you choose to play in (50, 100, and 150) does not matter. The only requirement is that you complete the Cup.

Baby Blooper is recommended for Lakitu. Both have similar stats and, while it only has a certain amount of speed, it has very high acceleration and handling, which makes it easier to handle tight turns and allows you to accelerate quickly with the Mini-Turbo.
