Charge jumping propels your kart upward and forward, making it easier to take shortcuts by reaching areas like rails and walls to ride them and dodge off road terrain.
Wall riding is an extension of charge jumping since it is done by using the charge jump on to a wall and riding it forward, effectively shortening distances covered by your kart.

Practice Time Trial mode in Mario Circuit since there are a lot of off-road areas where you can take shortcuts using the charge jump. Additionally you can also use the Rewind feature to practice a specific shortcut over and over.
Some of the areas can be challenging, which makes it the perfect course to learn how to time the technique properly.
