As of now, Nintendo has not announced any downloadable content or future update roadmap for Mario Kart World. However, the game launched with an impressive lineup of around 150 characters, 50 vehicles, and 28 interconnected tracks, and numerous game modes, making it the largest Mario Kart game at release.

Potential Booster Course Pass DLC

Potential Booster Course Pass DLC

While nothing is confirmed, it's highly possible that Mario Kart World will receive DLC in the far future in the form of a Booster Course Pass similar to the one introduced in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This could include additional tracks, characters, and vehicles. Any future content might also be made available to all players as a free update, or as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.
