The best place to get XP during post-game is the King Hydras in the ??? area. If you are on "Dracky Quest" difficulty you cant die from them each one gives 24K experience points. Just run away if 3 of em show up. Fighting that many will mean they will keep putting you to sleep and you will get no where fast.
Liquid Metal Slimes can also drop Elevating Shoes.
A great area to level up quickly in the late game is just West of Tantegel. Walking around the purple swamp you can encounter the Mud Hand enemies. These enemies have the ability to call for backup and they aren’t able to do much damage to the party. Attack them and make sure to leave at least 3 alive each turn by defending when needed. This battle can last for as long as you want. You can easily secure 120k exp in minutes.
