Pull for Winter Edelgard or Valentine's Lyon!

Every single unit on this banner is worth summoning for, but we recommend either Winter Edelgard or Valentine's Lyon.

Both of these units are metagame-defining and require specific answers in order to counter successfully. In cases where a specific counter is not present, these two heroes can easily run all over the enemy team and remain safe in doing so.

The newly released Heiðrún counters both of these heroes, but she is an Anima Mythic hero and is not easily summonable as a result. Aside from Heiðrún, there is no singular hero that counters both of these units with one build.

The current surge in pre-combat healing such as Heiðrún's Divine Nectar or the recently released C skill Breath of Life 4 is the best way to deal with these two units. However, unless you specifically summoned for Breath of Life 4 when it was available while Edward was a focus hero, it is very difficult to acquire.

Winter Edelgard and Valentine's Lyon are metagame-defining heroes that make clearing maps significantly easier even as one-of copies, Attuned Triandra is an Attuned Hero that can be used to duplicate rare skills for your other units to acquire, and Gullveig is an Anima Mythic Hero that can generate multiple actions for herself in one turn.

We highly recommend spending your orbs to summon for these units if you need them.
