When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-Res

The best IVs for Catria are +Spd and -Res. She has a deent base Spd stat of 34 so giving her this IV would widen the range of foes whom she can score follow-up attacks on. Additionally, her special effect refine allows her to score an extra attack. If she is able to outspeed an enemy while under the special effect refine of Whitewing Lance, she will be able to score 4 hits on an enemy and that is most of the time fatal!

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Catria to 10. With this IV, she will reach a base stat of 41. With some more support from allies, quad-attacks from her will be very common. If you prefer building an enemy phase-centric Catria with Distant Counter, you can just take advantage of her Res superboon and get a +Res IV instead.

How to Use, Explanation

This build uses the refined version of Catria’s exclusive weapon skill and Blue Flame. With her weapon’s effect, Ruptured Sky has a cooldown count of 1 and she can count on her special triggering on the second hit of a continuous attack. Chill Def 3 makes her target more vulnerable to her attack, while Atk/Spd Rein further debuffs them.

How to Use, Explanation

This build is based around Galeforce. Firesweep Lance and Life and Death will max out Catria’s power. Using a follow-up attack will trigger Galeforce, allowing her to move again so that she can take down foes. Life and Death will make her Def low, but using Hit and Run after combat will allow her to put some space between herself and a foe so she can protect herself, so use the map’s terrain to your advantage.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Whitewing Lance

It is an amazing upgrade that not only grants +3 to all stats, but it grants an extra attack if Catria initiates attacks. The only drawback to this is that it requires flying allies to be around Catria. Be sure to utilize her in flying parties because she performs best in those line-ups.

Catria is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Catria Strengths

Decent offensive firepower despite low Atk stat

Despite Catria's 31 base Atk, her offenses are still great as her special attack is very reliable. Luna does not rely on Catria having a high Atk status in order to deal huge amounts of damage. Instead, it relies on halving the opponents defenses. This means that Catria will be able to deal decent damage even to the bulkiest of foes as the stat that they rely on the most will be halved. Conveniently, both Killer Lance+ and Whitewing Lance accelerates her special cooldown. This makes Luna more reliable.

To improve her firepower even further, make sure to get the special effect refine for Whitewing Lance!

Her base kit works surprisingly well!

Because of her balanced stats, Armored Blow 3 and Seal Atk 3 make her somewhat of a tank as these skills can decrease the damage she takes from enemies. The former decreases the damage taken from counterattacks and Seal Atk 3 reduces the Atk stat of enemies. Because Seal Atk 3 is only applied after combat, Catria can attack an enemy and have an ally swoop in to take less damage from the affected enemy.

Another tactic in using Seal Atk 3 is to bait an attack on Catria in the enemy phase. That way, their Atk stat will be reduced in the upcoming player phase.

Weak to bows

As a flying unit, Catria takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
