When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Marisa will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Marisa are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Marisa to get a ton of follow-up attacks on her foes. It also protects her from hostile follow-up attacks. Her Res is of less importance and thus safe to be taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Marisa to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With this IV, she can reach 43 Spd which is at a range wherein she can score lots of follow-up attacks if she has ample support from allies.
Follow-up attacks also speeds-up Marisa's special activation which is very important as she deals damage through constant activation of specials.

Since Marisa will have Moonbow up most of the time, it is a good idea to run Surge Sparrow and Spurn 3. They will both provide consistent heals, defense, and offenses for Marisa. Though a very expensive build, Marisa can do quite a lot with this build as she will have both offensive power and defensive ability thanks to her balanced stat spread.

This build maximizes Marisa's Atk/Spd. Since a two-turn Special like Moonbow will always be active at the start of the turn, scoring a hit under Desperation 3 will mean big enough damage to take out a wide range of foes. Since she will be super fragile, we recommend avoiding enemy phase engagements. Ardent Sacrifice is taken to help set her under Desperation range. If you aren't comfortable with taking Life and Death 3, you can go for Atk/Spd boost alternatives such as Swift Sparrow 3, Atk/Spd Push 4 etc.

This build utilizes Marisa's new refined weapon, which accelerates her Special trigger and stacks this effect with Time's Pulse and Quickened Pulse. This makes Aether, a 5 cooldown Special, be able to trigger sooner, giving Marisa a lot of survivability. You can swap out the Special with something else to your liking, and swap out both her Swift Sparrow skill slotted in for Atk/Spd Solo 4 and 3, respectively.

Shamshir's Special refine is very powerful, giving Marisa cooldown count-1 if it's at max value as well as granting her Atk/Spd+5 if she's within 2 spaces of an ally.
This makes her great at initiating combat, as she can trigger her Special every time.

Marisa is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Marisa is one of the sword users who has the highest HP stats. This allows her to easily utilize her native C skill, Infantry Pulse 3. Her high HP also gives her the option to run Wind Boost 3 which is arguably better than her native A skill. Additionally, it also has some defensive benefits as it makes her less suscetible to the effects of Panic Ploy 3
Marisa's refined weapon Shamshir accelerates her Special trigger and grants her cooldown count-1 if it's at max value. This works great with her low cooldown special Glimmer, which means she can trigger it fairly easily and quickly. This can stack a lot and deal massive total damage in a single map.
The C skill Infantry Pulse will reduce the cooldown count of infantry units at the start of the first turn. This will work on all allies whose HP is lower than Marisa's, and it stacks with other similar skills, meaning it can be paired with Heavy Blade or Breaker weapons.
Marisa's Res only sits at 21 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take her out. Be mindful of Marisa's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take her out.
Marisa has a very low Atk stat at 30. This pushes her to rely on **Glimmer and Shamshir

Marisa can be used to inherit the skill Infantry Pulse 3. However, you can only acquire Marisa from Tempest Trials or from using Heroic Grails, so think carefully before foddering her off.
Marisa is a limited time Hero who can be obtained as a reward for your score in the Tempest Trials. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
