Effect A Piranha Plant will be attached to the front of your vehicle for a while. When it bites, your kart will also get a small boost.

The Piranha Plant item, known for its effect of biting opponents and items in front of your kart, has been removed from Mario Kart World. However, Piranha Plant has been turned into a playable character. The character is a default character, so you can play as Piranha Plant at the start of the game!

Effect The Fake item Box is designed to resemble a standard item box, but with the symbol inverted. Upon use, it emits a deceptive item box that disables any player who comes into contact with it.

The Fake Item Box tricks players who are expecting a normal item drop, but they end up getting the Fake Item Box instead. However, players who pay close attention will definitely notice the altered appearance and avoid them.

Items come and go, and the most plausible reason that items are removed are for the game to be in a healthy balanced state. Players have expressed their frustrations regarding these items, such as the Piranha plant being extremely difficult to use and the Fake Item Box being easily identifiable.

Getting rid of these things also helps reduce the large number of items in the game, which creates space for new items.
