Ragnarok - For Vanaheim

For Vanaheim! is a Favor in God of War Ragnarok (GoW Ragnarok) where you must venture into The Crater to rescue Birgir and slay the Crimson Dread. Read on to learn more for a detailed walkthrough about this Favor, how it can be unlocked, rewards, and more!

Reach the Crater

Starting Point

This quest automatically begins when you decide to rescue Birgir after the Scent of Survival favor from Helka. After a short cutscene, your favor officially starts when you go down into the Crater.

Objectives

Reach Birgir's Location.
To reach Birgir's location, go down the crater and swing to the northwest side of the Crater to the Western Plains. Find the way up to the Celestial Altar and use it to change the time of day to night time.

Once it is night time, go down from the Celestial Altar and defeat the Troll and Reaver that is guarding the Gate.

Rescue Birgir
The path to Birgir is being guarded by The Crimson Dread one of the dragons terrorizing the skies of Vanaheim's jungles. To rescue Birgir, you must slay The Crimson Dread and make it up the tower.

Hunting him down along with the other dragons grants you the Invasive Species Trophy.

Send Birgir to the Mystic Gateway
After talking to Birgir, simply escort him to the nearest Mystic Tower and the favor will be concluded.
