Artifacts are collectible ancient items that have historical value and serve as a glimpse into the past of each of the Nine Realms. Artifacts usually are part of a set and reward you with XP when completed.

Artifact: An Organization: In The Future Region: The Jungle Location: At the southwest part of The Crater region, a hidden area in Vanaheim. Complete the Scent of Survival favor to access this region. The path to the artifact is open only at night.
Artifact: Upon Pursuing A Place Not Marked On Maps Region: The Southern Wilds Location: Found hidden under a breakable stone floor in The Southern Wilds. You can only reach this area at night, when you've acquired the ability to change the time of day.
Artifact: Eastern Specter Region: The Sinkholes Location: Found at the southwestern part of The Sinkholes in The Crater region, a hidden area in Vanaheim. Complete the Scent of Survival favor to access this region.

Artifact: Kvasir's Crest Region: The Veiled Passage Location: Found at the northern part of The Veiled Passage. It is behind a wooden barrier.
Artifact: Hylli's Crest Region: Vanir Shrine Location: Found at the northern part of Vanir Shrine.
Artifact: Skirnir's Crest Region: Freyr’s Camp Location: Found close to the portal in Freyr's Camp.
Artifact: Odin's Crest Region: River Delta Location: Found inside a cave found while riding your boat under the large tree marked in the map. The artifact is on the ground, close to the shore.
Artifact: Freya's Crest Region: River Delta Location: Found right behind the River Delta portal.
Artifact: Hoenir's Crest Region: Noatun’s Garden Location: Found in Noatun's Garden. Disable a poison plant with your axe to reach this artifact.

All Artifact Locations and How to Get

All Odin's Ravens in Vanaheim

Odin's Raven can be found as greenish spectres across the Nine Realms. Find and strike these Ravens to acquire them. The more Odin's Ravens you acquire, the more chests you can unlock at the Raven Tree in Niflheim.

Region: The Southern Wilds Location: Upon arriving in Vanaheim in The Southern Wilds, follow the path forward and turn left into a small set of stairs with an arch.
Region: Pilgrim's Landing Location: Found at the left side of the legendary chest after lowering the 2nd bridge.
Region: The Plains Location: Found at the west side of the frozen lightning near a blocked cave.
Region: Freyr's Camp Location: Found just outside and to the left after the tunnel leading out of Freyr's Camp.
Region: The Plains Location: Found directly in front of the workshop.
Region: The Veiled Passage Location: Found in an opening in the ceiling in near the last boat dock in the Veiled Passage.
Region: Cliffside Ruins Location: Found by the river in the Cliffside Ruins, can be accessed by going through the mini-dungeon at the end of the Veiled Passage (related to the Conscience for the Dead Favor).
Region: Goddess Falls Location: Flying around in the sky in Goddess Falls. You see it as soon as you arrive, but it's very high up. Make sure you go to higher ground to reach it.
Region: The Plains Location: Found inside a small pit at the west side of The Overgrown Tower mystic gateway.
Region: The Plains Location: Found to the left of the area with the door that has poison gas on it in The Plains.
Region: The Jungle Location: Found above a red chest where you fight the Ogres.
Region: Eastern Barri Woods Location: Found across a red chest after destroying an obstacle with sigil arrows and fire.
Region: The Abandoned Village Location: Found in the middle of a tree before jumping across the gap.
Region: The Sinkholes Location: Found by the river near the gate that heads back to the Sinkholes Entrance mystic gateway.
Region: The Plains Location: Found near a small pond in the area where you fight a blue Dreki.

All Nornir Chests in Vanaheim

Nornir Chests are special locked chests that contain either an Idunn Apple, which boosts your health, or a Horn of Blood Mead, which boosts your rage bar. Nornir Chests can only be opened by finding and destroying the runes marked on the chest.

The Southern Wilds Nornir Chest

Region: The Southern Wilds Location: Found along the main path in the northern part of The Southern Wilds.
Solution
・You will have to hit three spinning paddles with your axe to make the correct Runes show. ・The first one is located to the left of the chest, up on some rocks. ・The second is found to the right of the chest. Burn the bramble with your Blades of Chaos. ・The last one can be found backwards, into the path you came from. It will be sitting up on some rocks, hidden behind bramble that you need to burn.

The Abandoned Village Nornir Chest

Region: The Abandoned Village Location: Found under the bridge after getting to the other side of the bramble puzzle in western part of The Abandoned Village.
Solution
・You will need to light up braziers to open the chest. ・The first two will be found around the rotating crane and can only be lit by swinging the burning pot around. ・The third brazier can be found in front of the chest and can be lit with your Blades of Chaos.

Cliffside Ruins Nornir Chest

Region: Cliffside Ruins Location: Found a little forward from the shore, after disembarking onto Cliffside Ruins.
Solution
・You will need to hit three spinning paddles with your axe to reveal the correct runes. ・The first rune can be found to the right of the chest, around some rocks. It is hidden behind red bramble that will require you to use the Sigil arrow and Blades of Chaos combo to burn down. ・The second rune is hidden behind rocks to the left of the chest. You will need to climb up to the platforms above to see it. ・To get to the third rune, you will need to ride a zipline to the other side of the lake. It wil be easily visible on the water from there.

The Veiled Passage Nornir Chest

Region: The Veiled Passage Location: Found immediately as you enter The Veiled Passage. To reach this area, you must first get rid of the stone gate blocking the river leading south. This is solved in the Cliffside Ruins.
Solution
・To unlock this chest, you will need to ring three rune bells at the same time. All three bells are located on the other side of the river. ・To ring them at the same time, you must cover all three bells with Sigil arrows, then pick up the burning coal behind you and throw it at the sigils to make all bells explode. ・Note that you can place Sigil arrows in only three spots, but you can make each Sigil spot bigger up to three times.

Goddess Falls Nornir Chest

Region: Goddess Falls Location: Found at the top of Goddess Falls. Simply climb the rock face to get to the top and the chest will be in view. To reach Goddess Falls, you must first get rid of the stone gate blocking the river leading south. This is solved in the Cliffside Ruins.
Solution
・To unlock this chest, you will need to light three rune braziers. These braziers will be out of reach, so you will need to use Sigil arrows and Blades of Chaos to cause a chain reaction. ・The first brazier is located immediately to the right of the chest. Fire Sigil arrows on the rocky platforms that lead up to the rune. ・The second brazier is located at the top of waterfalls to the left of the chest. Fire Sigil arrows on the exposed bits of rock coming out of the waterfall. ・The third brazier is located to the far left of the chest, on the mountain wall. Fire Sigil arrows along the rock face to reach the rune.

Eastern Barri Woods Nornir Chest

Region: Eastern Barri Woods Location: Found in Eastern Barri Woods. This area is accessible only upon returning to Vanaheim in the story for the second time.
Solution
・To unlock this chest, you will need to hit three spinning paddles to reveal the correct runes indicated on the chest. ・The first rune is found immediately to the left of the chest. ・The second rune is found when facing south. It is chilling out by the foliage. ・The third rune is found by going down a path to the southwest. It is located far across a chasm, in a gazebo.

The Plains Nornir Chest 1

Region: The Plains Location: Found near the gateway in eastern part of The Plains region of The Crater, a hidden area in Vanaheim. Complete the Scent of Survival favor to access this region.
Solution
・Hit three bells quickly to unlock this chest. ・The first bell is found behind the chest, behind some rocks. ・The second bell is found up on some rocks to the left of the chest. ・The third bell is found on top of the rocky hill behind the chest. You will need to go around the hill to see it.

The Plains Nornir Chest 2

Region: The Plains Location: Found in the northwestern part of The Plains region of The Crater, a hidden area in Vanaheim. Complete the Scent of Survival favor to access this region.
Solution
・The first rune is found up on some rocks to the west. ・The second rune is found in a hole in a tree to the southeast. ・The third rune is found right behind the chest, behind a statue. Disable the poison plant to see this rune.

The Jungle Nornir Chest

Region: The Jungle Location: Found near the gateway in the southern part of The Jungle region of The Crater, a hidden area in Vanaheim. Complete the Scent of Survival favor to access this region.
Solution
・To unlock this chest, you will need to hit three spinning paddles to reveal the correct runes indicated on the chest. ・The first rune is found on a high platform to the right of the chest. ・The second rune is found to the northeast, obscured by mushrooms. Use the Blades of Chaos to uncover this. ・The third rune is found on the second floor of the short tower, facing the north. Get up on a platform to the east to see this rune.

The Sinkholes Nornir Chest 1

Region: The Sinkholes Location: Found in the western part of The Sinkholes region of The Crater, a hidden area in Vanaheim. Complete the Scent of Survival favor to access this region.
Solution
・The first rune is found to the left of the chest, on the cave wall. Use Sigil arrows and Blades of Chaos to reach it. ・The second rune is found to the right of the chest. Use Sigil arrows and Blades of Chaos again. ・Hop up onto a higher platform and look up to the southeast. The third rune will be high up and can be reached with several Sigil arrows.

The Sinkholes Nornir Chest 2

Region: The Sinkholes Location: Found in the northern part of The Sinkholes region of The Crater, a hidden area in Vanaheim. Complete the Scent of Survival favor to access this region.
Solution
・Use your Draupnir spear on the three rune idols, then trigger the spear to explode them all at the same time. ・The first rune is found to the left of the chest. ・The second rune is found to the right of the chest, up on a pillar. ・The third rune is found facing the north, in the distance.
