Trail of the Dead is a Favor in God of War Ragnarok (GoW Ragnarok). Read on to learn more for a detailed walkthrough about this Favor, how it can be unlocked, rewards, and more!

How to Unlock Trail of the Dead
You can unlock this quest by completing the Return of the River favor. From there, you will gain access to The Jungle area in Vanaheim and spot The Corpse Eater flying around.

Defeat the Ogres

| 1 |  Head straight to a boat dock located at the easthern part area of The Jungle in Vanaheim. Check the map above for reference. |
| 2 |  After reaching the boat dock, you will see a narrow crevice in the area. Go through the crevice by pressing the indicated button near it. |
| 3 |  From here on, you will have to do battle with two Ogres being controlled by Nokkens. You must first dispose of the Nokkens for you to be able to inflict damage upon the Ogres. |
| 4 |  A custscene will ensue when you are on the verge of defeating one of the remaining Ogres. The dragon will suddenly appear to rob you of your kill. |
| 5 |  You may explore the area for a stone chest near the vicinity. You may also find the other half of the toy from the Casualties of War: The Toy favor in the vicinity. |
Make Your Way to the Feeding Ground

| 1 |  Head straight to a boat dock at the southern part area of The Jungle in Vanaheim. Check the map above for reference. |
| 2 |  Explore the area and unlock a Nornir chest in the vicinity. You may also find a stone chest if you did more exploring in the sourthern part of your location. |
| 3 |   There are two flights of stairs that lead to a celestial altar in the area. Go straight to the first flight of stairs and face eastwards. You will see a wall that will prompt you to climb it. |
| 4 |  After climbing up with your blades, head south of the area and jump down to the surface below you. After landing, a crystal can be found above you. |
| 5 |  Aim your axe at the crystal to acquire its resources when it shatters. Going further north, you will see a rock formation that prompts you to hang over it with your trusty blades. |
| 6 |     A series of prompting actions will be shown for you to swing on with your blades. It will ultimately lead you towards a higher platform in the area. |
| 7 |  After climbing it, you will see another platform from across you with scattered red vines covering some parts of its surface. |
| 8 |  Step onto the edge of the platform as indicated from the picture above. You will see a rock formation that connects to the ceiling above you. |
| 9 |   Shoot sigil arrows toward the rock formation, making sure that the sigil can be ignited with your blades. After that, shoot another set of sigil arrows that will connect to the ceiling and conclude with the red vines burning up from the ignition. |
| 10 |   Hang onto the rock formation from across you and climb towards the now available platfrom ridden of the red vines you have burnt earlier. |
| 11 |  Open the legendary chest and acquire the Whisper of the World runic attack. |
| 11 |  Make your way towards north. You will see a prompt for you climb to an area that will lead you to the feeding ground. |
