Background Information

Not much is known about Angrboda outside of her character references in Norse Mythology. It is possible that Angrboda is a survivor of Thor's genocide of the Jotun's and is consequently a Jotun herself.

In Norse Mythology, Loki, or in this case Atreus, sires children with her, all of which would play a part in Ragnarok.

Of these children, Fenrir and Hel are the mightiest of them all, as both would play large parts in the battles in Asgard. Fenrir would, in the myths, be the one kill Odin and tear off Tyr's arm. From the Father and Son trailer, we now know that Fenrir does exist in this story. Whether or not his saga will follow the myths, however, is unknown.
