How to Upgrade Weapons, Armor, and Attachments

In God of War Ragnarok, upgrading equipment is the best way to make Kratos stronger. Read on to know how to upgrade equipment, from weapons to armor.

How to Upgrade Equipment

Upgrades Unlocks After Visiting Sindri's Home

Brok and Sindri's services, including crafting and upgrading, are unlocked after visiting Sindri's home in the realm between realms. This is the part of the story that's right before visiting the Dwarven realm, Svartalfheim.

Like in the previous game Sindri and Brok will have multiple shops in the open-world. They will usually be found in towns, Sindri's home, rest spots, and even before or after boss battles.

Have the Necessary Materials

The most common material needed to upgrade any piece of equipment is Hacksilver. These are a currency that can be found on dead bodies, enemy remains, and chests.

Take note that insufficient materials will be highlighted in red. Players will not be allowed to craft if materials are lacking.

All Upgradeable Equipment & Materials

Each weapon will have a unique Upgrade Material, while every piece of armor will have a different set of materials depending on the level of which you plan to upgrade it to.
