Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Valentine's Lissa will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Res/-Spd

Valentine's Lissa has a superboon in Res and as a tanky healer, increasing her bulk is the highest priority when boosting stats. Thus, +Res is the boon of choice.

+Def is also acceptable if you prefer to boost her physical bulk instead.

Lissa's Spd is at a mediocre 29, which is in the awkward range where she avoids follow-up attacks from the slower units but gets outsped by the faster units in the game. Additionally, decreasing her bulk is counterproductive, and decreasing Atk is almost always a bad idea. Thus, -Spd is the bane of choice.

+Res for a +10 Merge

We recommend +Res as a boon when merging Valentine's Lissa to +10 and investing max dragonflowers. Increasing her bulk is the most important thing for tanky units like her, and +Res provides the highest boost.

Valentine's Lissa is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat. Though because she carries a Staff, she will only deal half the damage without the effects of Wrathful Staff

Armored Staff Niche

There are only a handful of Armored Staff users out there, and Valentine's Lissa is a free option! This already puts her ahead of the unit pool when it comes to carving niches.

Def/Res Ideal 3 and Staff of Tribute+ provides Def/Res

Staff of Tribute+ grants Valentine's Lissa +6 Def/Res during combat as long as she is within 3 spaces to an ally. If you are able to activate Def/Res Ideal 3 through the HP trigger or a bonus, these combine for a +11 Def/Res in total.

Healing Options

Valentine's Lissa has 2 healing mechanics:

Staff of Tribute's heal triggers every battle exit in every phase so do not underestimate it. 5 HP heals can stack up!

• She can heal the conventional way through the heal-assist skill, Martyr+.
• Staff of Tribute+ can also heal 7 HP everytime she exits combat to her and allies within 2 spaces of her! This is triggered by having at least 1 ally within 3 spaces of her.

Casts a bonus on ally with high Res

The C skill Res Opening 3 is a buff skill that gives +6 to the Res of the ally who has the highest Res stat. This skill has good synergy with heroes that make good use of their Res stat such as Fallen Julia, who heavily relies on Res to tank magic users and to boost her firepower. This buff will be granted regardless of her position on the map.

Valentine's Lissa Weaknesses

Armored movement!

Valentine's Lissa enjoys the high stats of an armored unit, but this means that she suffers from armored movement as well. Without the use of proper Sacred Seals like Armored Boots and skills like Armored March 3, she will be crippled by very limited movement. It will be most likely that the enemy will get to her first!

It also makes activating Staff of Tribute's effects tricky if you don't pay attention to her positioning.

Weak to Armor Effective Weapons

Valentine's Lucina takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Destiny's Bow or Randgríðr, and one blow from these types of weapons is sure to take her down or at least severely damage her.

Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
