The best IVs for Pelleas are +Atk and -Def. A +Atk IV helps him deal more damage to enemies. His mediocre Def stat is of less importance to him and thus it is safe to take Def as a bane.

How to Use, Explanation

This build retains most of Pelleas' base kit and adds some budget skills that help his combat potential. Desperation works with Brazen Atk/Spd in meeting similar HP thresholds to activate. Atk/Spd Bond 3 seal is used as his weapon Rauðrlion+ prefers having adjacent allies anyway.

Pelleas is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Pelleas Strengths

Buffs himself and adjacent allies at the start of the turn

Pelleas' tome Rauðrlion+ provides an Atk +6 buff to adjacent allies at the start of the turn and his C skill Atk/Res Oath 3 provides an Atk/Res +5 buff to Pelleas himself as long as he is adjacent to an ally at the start of the turn. With proper positioning, Pelleas and his allies can enjoy visible bonuses every turn!

High Atk stat

Pelleas also has a base 40 Atk stat, which is further boosted by an Atk superboon, bringing it up to base 44 with an Atk boon. His Atk ranks high compared to other heroes, and maximizing it will bring the most out of Pelleas' combat potential.

Pelleas Weaknesses

Low Def stat

Pelleas unfortunately has a low base 21 Def stat which leaves him vulnerable to physical threats. Keep him away from foes that deal physical damage as much as possible.

Fierce competition

Pelleas also faces competition from various red mages in the metagame, especially the more powerful and mobile Valentine's Líf and Legendary Lilina who enjoy the same attacking prowess and have cavalry mobility at the same time.

As for red infantry mages, Pelleas is overshadowed by other powerful units such as Brave Lysithea and Nyx who have better stat spreads and unique weapons.

It will take significant investment for Pelleas to carve his own role in your barracks, but it is possible.

Obtain through a Grand Hero Battle

Pelleas is a Hero who, for a limited time, can be obtained through completing a Grand Hero Battle for the first time. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.
