This is a guide on how to farm Hero Merit for Fire Emblem Heroes (FEH). To know what Hero Merit is, how to earn it, and where to farm it efficiently, read on!
List of Contents
Hero Merit is a system that has units earn points when they clear a map.
You obtain Hero Feathers when you earn a certain number of points.
Go to Allies, then tap Interact With Allies. Then tap Hero Merit List.
Hero Merit accumulates per unit you have. When you have multiple copies of the same unit, their Hero Merit is cummulatively earned.
Defeating stronger enemy units with your own strong units will earn you more Hero Merit points.
Hero Merit points are converted into Hero Feathers. Units who have enough Hero Merit to give Hero Feathers will show up on your home screen.
In order to get a lot of Hero Merit, you will need to clear a high difficulty map with high level units.
The most points earned in one battle can be found in the 10th Stratum of the Training Tower or in the Arena.
If you put multiple of the same unit in one party and clear a map, points going to Hero Merit will add up (they are treated as one Hero and not separate).
It's possible to quickly farm Hero Mert for one unit by puting 3-4 copies of that unit in one party.
Map Type | Time Efficiency | Stamina Efficiency |
---|---|---|
Grand Hero Battles Hard or Lunatic Difficulty |
★★★ | ★★★ |
Arena Assault | ★☆☆ | ★★★ |
Tap Battle | ★★☆ | ★★★ |
Training Tower 10th Stratum |
★★☆ | ★★☆ |
The most efficient way of earning Hero Merit is through Grand Hero Battles in Hard or Lunatic difficulty, as reinforcements appear on the map.
These battles cost 0 Stamina, so you can spam the map over and over again once you have a pattern down.
The disadvantage is that clearing the map may become boring at some point and the 10th Stratum of the Training Tower is better if you are also farming for SP alongside the Hero Merit.
You can also earn Hero Merit by doing Arena Assault. With 15 Stamina, you can fight up to 7 times in Lunatic difficulty, so you defeat several enemy units.
Tap Battles also cost 0 Stamina to play, and you can clear it just by tapping the screen (while watching TV or internet videos). You can earn Hero Merit this way while you're doing something else.
You can spam the 10th Stratum over and over again, but it's largely inefficient due to the amount of Stamina it consumes.
It's good if you have quests you need to complete that involve the 10th Stratum and you want to farm for SP as well, but otherwise, there are more efficient ways, as given above.
Map Type | Stamina | 5★ - Lvl 40 | 5★ - Lvl 1 |
---|---|---|---|
Training Tower - 10th Stratum 5 foes |
9 | 5.00 | 2.05 |
Training Tower - 10th Stratum 4 foes |
9 | 4.60 | 1.65 |
Training Tower - 10th Stratum 3 foes |
9 | 4.20 | 1.25 |
Training Tower - 9th Stratum 4 foes |
9 | 3.60 | 0.65 |
4 High Level Foes in Arena | — | 4.60 | — |
Special Maps | 5 | 4.60 | — |
When clearing 4 lvl 40 enemy units on the 10th and 9th Stratums of the Training Tower, the amount of Hero Merit earned may different.
Even if you defeat an enemy unit that is the same level as you, the Hero Merit points earned is affected by their rarity.
Hero Merit earned is increased by 0.40 per enemy unit spawned on the map.
Therefore, more enemy units means more Hero Merit earned when the map is cleared.
Unlike the rarity of the enemy unit you defeat, the rarity of your own units does not affect the amount of Hero Merit earned.
Hero Merit is a good way to farm Hero Feathers. Since there are a lot of units in the game now and each with a cap of 8,000 points each, that's a lot of Feathers to use!
