The best IVs for Winter Nino are +Atk and -Def. Since she can guarantee follow-up attacks through Bold Fighter 3, a +Atk IV maxmizes the damage she deals in two hits. Her Def is of less importance since she specializes in tanking magic damage so Def can be safely taken as a bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Winter Nino to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With this IV, she reaches 52 Atk at max merges. If you plan to swap out Bold Fighter 3 for another skill, you can take advantage of the superboon she possesses in Spd and take a +Spd IV instead.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a budget build for Winter Nino. By taking Armored Boots on top of Armor March 3, she becomes very mobile. This allows her to easily engage combat in the player phase. Being able to initiate attacks is vital when running Bold Fighter 3 in a kit.

How to Use, Explanation

This defensive build is aimed at utilizing A/R Far Save 3 to protect Nino's allies from ranged attacks. Nino's high Spd stat and superboon allow her to utilize Special Fighter instead of other skills that generate follow-up attacks. Tannenbit+ and Sol help Nino's sustain to keep Special Fighter active. Double Distant Def skills boost her defenses against ranged attacks. You may replace the Distant Def 3 seal with Armor March or Armored Boots if movement is an issue; the sustain from Tannenbit+ and Sol should help in keeping Armored Boots active.

Winter Nino is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Winter Nino Strengths

Tannenbit+ provides sustain

Winter Nino's weapon, Tannenbit+, heals her for 5 HP whenever she attacks an enemy regardless of who initiated the attack. It heals her even if she deals 0 damage. This helps her survive multiple attacks in the enemy phase and heal up in the player phase

Guaranteed follow-up makes way for consistent Bonfire activation

Winter Nino has the armor only skill Bold Fighter, which grants her a guaranteed follow-up attack when initiating combat, as well as special cooldown charge +1. This means that when initiating combat, her special will activate very rapidly. Make sure to inherit a special skill like Moonbow onto her to take full advantage of Bold Fighter.

Tannenbit+ and Bold Fighter 3 ensures that Winter Nino is heavily rewarded whenever she enters combat. Make sure that Nino is engaging enemies frequently as she can take quite a beating and dish-out huge amounts of damage while doing so.

Armor March 3 Improves Mobility

If Winter Nino is adjacent to other armored units, Nino and the said units can move 1 extra space for that turn. It is somewhat pretty easy to trigger and it greatly improves the mobility of all armored allies. Another quirk of Armor March 3 is you can move to those tiles even if they are forests similar to how flying movement works.

This grants Nino easy initiation for Bold Fighter 3 to trigger! It would normally be very hard to initiate attacks with a unit whom can only move 1 space at a time.

Weak to Armor Effective Weapons

Winter Nino takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Armorslayer+ or Hammer+, and one blow from these types of weapons is sure to take her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
