Cooldown Count = 3 Treats foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 50% during combat. |
If unit is adjacent to an ally, grants Def/Res+5 during combat. |
If unit’s HP ≥ 50% and foe initiates combat, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack. Grants Special cooldown charge +1 per attack. (Does not stack. ) |
If unit has an adjacent armored ally at start of turn, unit and any such allies can move 1 extra space. (That turn only, does not stack. ) |

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Winter Fae are +Def and -Spd. A +Def IV will balance Fae's defensive stats. This is ideal for survivability as the range of units Fae can take hits from will widen. Her Spd is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane. Take note that her Spd is a superbane!
We recommend a +Def IV when merging Winter Fae to 10. At max merges, Winter Fae's Def will reach 40 Def. This allows her to tank both magical and physical units! If you prefer a Winter Fae that specializes in tanking magic attacks then you can take a +Res IV instead.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Winter Fae is a close magic attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Depending on the number of allies Fae has within 2 spaces, she can get an upwards of +6 Def/Res in both phases. Because it stacks with Def/Res Bond 3 and they have very similar trigger conditions, you can say that they are 2 skills that work very well together. When combined, both skills grant Fae +11 Def/Res!
Glittering Breath+ also grants adaptive damage against ranged foes. Adaptive damage is when a skill effect calculates damage using the lower of a foes Def or Res. This allows Fae to deal lots of damage to a unit if they have imbalanced stats.
Def/Res Bond 3 increases Winter Fae's Def and Res by +5 if she is adjacent to an ally. Since it is an in-combat buff, it stacks with other combat buffs, so it is good to pair with units that have skills like Def Tactic or Spur Def.
As said, this works very synergistically with the effects of Glittering Breath+. They have very similar trigger conditions!
Her Passive B skill Vengeful Fighter will give her a guaranteed follow-up attack when her HP is above 50% and the foe initiates combat. Since she is an already decent enemy phase unit because of her naturally high defensive stats, she is able to utilize this effect efficiently. Her default skills and weapon skill have great synergy, meaning that she is ready for combat without needing to do any type of skill inheritance.
If Winter Fae is adjacent to other armored units, Fae and the said units can move 1 extra space for that turn. It is somewhat pretty easy to trigger and it greatly improves the mobility of all armored allies. Another quirk of Armor March 3 is you can move to those tiles even if they are forests similar to how flying movement works.
Winter Fae takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Armorslayer+ or Hammer+, and one blow from these types of weapons is sure to take her down.
As a dragon unit, Winter Fae also takes 1.5x damage from dragon-effective weapons like Falchion or Naga, and one blow from these types of weapons is sure to take her down.
Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

Hey, guess what! I got A LOT of presents from SO MANY people! Toys, books, shiny stones...all kinds of stuff! But you know what? What I like the best is seeing how happy everybody is. When everybody’s smiling, it makes me smile too. I just feel so...so warm inside! You know, winter isn’t cold—it’s warm! Oooh, is it too early to start planning for next year’s festival? |
