When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Seth are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Seth to get a ton of follow-up attacks on his foes which is very important for an offensive unit like him. His Res is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

SP: 400 | |
Might: 16 Range: 1 HP: +3 If unit has weapon-triangle advantage, boosts Atk by 20%. If unit has weapon-triangle disadvantage, reduces Atk by 20%. At start of turn, grants Spd+6 to allies within 2 spaces for 1 turn. Granted only if number of that ally’s movement type on current :500 :200 |
|
The special effect refiine for Silverbrand grants effects identical to Spd Tactic 3. It allows Seth to both fit in all-cavalry teams and in mixed teams as well. +6 Spd is a huge buff and it is surely enough to secure lots of follow-up attacks on a wide range of foes.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Seth is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Seth's Ruby Sword+ and Silverbrand boosts his Atk by +20% if he gets into combat with green units. This allows Seth to deal with powerful green units with ease. This also makes Seth a valuable unit because the green attribute class is boasts some of the strongest units in the game, and he has the tools to easily take them out. However, this will make Seth very weak against blue units.
Refining Silverbrand gives it the effects of Spd Tactic 3. Its effect allows Seth to give Spd +6 to his allies within 2 spaces for 1 turn, as long as there are no more than two of that ally's movement type on the team. This makes it easy for his allies to secure folow-up attacks, and is great for a mixed mobility party. You can read more about Silverbrand and its special effect refine here!
With little investment, Seth is a great option in cavalry teams. He is great against green units and can inflict debuffs on opponents. Make sure to include skills such as Hone Cavalry and Fortify Cavalry into the mix to power-up your cavalry teams even further!
Seal Atk/Def 2 inflicts -5 Atk/Def on Seth's foe after combat. This means he cannot take advantage of it on the first attack, but his allies can take advantage of this so make sure Seth attacks first. If he is refreshed by a dancer, he can enjoy it too.
The best way to use this is to bait enemies into attacking Seth in the enemy phase so that he can retaliate back in the player phase assuming he survives. If he is up against a green physical unit, he will most likely survive because of his naturally high Def coupled with the defensive effects in Silverbrand and Fortress Def 3. This sets them up for a very powerful blow from Silverbrand in the next player phase that they would not likely survive.
The downside to Ruby Sword+ and Silverbrand is that it makes Seth very weak against blue units. He can be one-shot by most offensive blue units so pay attention to his positioning in relation to them, and leave them to Seth's allies so he can focus his firepower on other units.
Seth takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

Prepare yourself. I admire your professionalism. I must ask your forgiveness. I answer destiny’s call! |

I must express my gratitude for your leadership. As a knight, all I ask for is an opportunity to serve. However, permit me to say just one thing. Feelings have no place on the battlefield. You issue orders. I obey them. That is all. In battle, a life-or-death moment could come at any time. Emotions could cloud your judgment. If my mind was on you instead of the opponent before me, that could end up costing us a victory. So I must ask that you keep your distance. This will ensure that I can continue to protect you in the future. |
