Piglin Brute Locations and Spawning Mechanics

Bastion Remnant Spawn

Piglin Brutes can only be found in any Bastion Remnant structures within the Nether.

They are always equipped with Golden Axes that can only be dropped when the player takes down the Piglin Brute.

Piglin Brutes Do Not Respawn

Piglin Brutes do not respawn unlike regular Piglins. Should a player eliminate all Piglin Brutes in a certain Bastion Remnant, the only way to find another set of Piglin Brutes is by locating another Bastion Remnant within the Nether.

Turns into a Zombified Piglin in Overworld or End

Piglins transform into Zombified Piglins in 15 seconds!

Players can spawn a Piglin or a Piglin Brute manually through the console command screen and it will transform into a Zombified Piglin.

Moreover, Piglin Brutes can be spawned anywhere in Creative Mode with the use of its Mob Egg.

How to Beat Piglin Brutes

Eliminate One Piglin Brute at a Time

It is highly recommended to take down Piglin Brutes when they aren't bundled together. Otherwise, one will sense your hostility towards a Piglin Brute and will attack you as a group, including normal Piglins nearby.

To prevent being cornered and ganged up on by Piglin Brutes, wait for them to be far from each other so you can take them down one at a time.

Avoid Narrow Spaces or Expand Playing Field

Additionally, all structure variants of Bastion Remnants have narrow paths and cramped spaces. With this, it becomes harder to separate Piglin Brutes.

It is recommended to take down blocks to open up spaces or to expand areas by adding blocks. This way, players will have a better playing field against Piglin Brutes.

Piglin Brute Behavior

Hostile Piglin Variant

Unlike Piglins and Zombified Piglins, Piglin Brutes will always be aggressive towards the player. These hostile Piglins are also stronger than the other two and have more health.

Piglin Brutes cannot be bartered with and will not care whether or not the player is equipped with Golden armor.

Guarding Treasure in Bastion Remnants

Piglin Brutes are oftentimes found in Bastion Remnants guarding treasure such as chests and Gold blocks. They are usually accompanied by regular Piglins and will be hostile towards those who attempt to take their treasure.
