No Official Release Date Yet

While Duke Inferno was shown during the 1.6 Livestream as one of the upcoming characters in the new world called Penacony, no official confirmations have yet been made by HoyoVerse regarding their playability.

We can only speculate that they may be released in one of the Version updates after Version 1.6. Since they were shown after Gallagher, we speculate that they may be released as a playable character with him or after him.

Who is Duke Inferno?

Part of the Annihilation Gang

There is not much information regarding Duke Inferno aside from the fact that they're part of the Annihilation Gang as introduced by Sunday during the 1.6 Livestream teaser. The Annihilation Gang are followers of Nanook, The Destruction.

However, unlike the Antimatter Legion, Nanook does not favor them. Their thirst for destruction is not pure enough as it is laced with selfish chaotic desires.

May Follow the Path of Destruction

As stated in the 1.6 Livestream, Duke Inferno is a member of the Annihilation Gang. With this information, we speculate that Duke Inferno might be following the Path of Destruction!

Invited to Penacony

The Family in Penacony invited all galactic organizations. This includes not only the Interastral Peace Corporation (IPC) but also organizations like the Stellaron Hunters. Sunday said it's a sign that Penacony is forgiving.
