| Spartan Rage is a unique ability that Kratos possesses as the God of War. This ability allows him to tap into a primal rage that heightens his destructive power as well as speed up his regenerative abilites. | |
| Modes | FURY Press L3 + R3 to enter a state of Rage and use the Attack buttons to unleash on enemies. Each attack heals a small amount. Exit this state by using the command again. “Balance fury with control to stay alive and win against odds.” |
| VALOR Press L3 + R3 to consume a chunk of Spartan Rage and gain a moderate burst of Health. Time it right before being hit to negate the incoming attack, gain an additional burst of healing and grant a Melee Attack bonus. “Valiant Defenst can be the strongest offense when used with strategy.” |

| WRATH Press L3 + R3 to consume a chunk of Spartan Rage and charge down an enemy with your curent weapon, dealing a large amount of damage with additional weapon effects. Killing the enemy heals a small amount. “Command the wrath of legendary weaponry to overwhelm foes with brutal force.” |

Horns of Blood Mead are scattered throughout the nine realms, locked away in hidden chests waiting to be uncovered. With each Horn of Blood Mead you collect, your Spartan Rage meter grows a little more, giving you more time to beat your enemies to a pulp.

Kratos' XP is used to upgrade Spartan Rage's modes. Upgrading to a higher tier affects aspects such as the amount of health regenerated by Spartan Rage and the amount of Rage that is used when hitting enemies while in the state.

| FURY | This is Kratos' default mode for Spartan Rage and is already unlocked at the beginning of your adventure. |
| VALOR | You unlock this mode when you first fight “The Mysterious Valkyrie”. |
