How to Unlock The Burning Skies
Enter The Sinkholes Area in Vanaheim
You can unlock this quest by traveling to the Sinkholes Entrance in Vanaheim and destroying the pillars that the dragon was perched on. From there, the dragon will fly away from the area and head towards its lair.
You will also need to unlock the Return of the River favor to gain access to some areas you will be needing to traverse in this quest.

Find a Way to the Dragon’s Lair
Destroy the Pillars
| Objectives | |

| 1 |  Head straight to the Sinkholes Entrance located at the southwest part of The Sinkholes area in Vanaheim. Check the map above for reference. |
| 2 |  When you arrive at the area on the map, you will notice a mystical gateway near you. From the left of the gateway is an entrance prompting you to climb it with your blades. |
| 3 |   Once you climb the entrance, you will see a rock wall blocking your path. There will be a prompt on the wall for you to detonate it with your spear. |
| 4 |   After the rock wall crumbles, proceed to the area and you will see the dragon flying over a cemented platform with pillars situated on its surface. The dragon will land on one of the pillars and breath fire on the area. |
| 5 |  To prevent yourself from being incinerated, aim your spear at the pillar where the dragon is perched on and detonate it. There will be a crack on the pillar that will show you where to aim the spear for detonation. |
| 6 |  The dragon will then fly to another pillar after you have destroyed the previous one. Repeat the process from earlier and detonate the pillar it is perched on now. |
| 7 |  After you have destroyed the second pillar, the dragon will leave the general area and head towards its lair. |

| 1 |  At this point, you will need to have the Return of the River favor completed to traverse the area by boat. Head straight to a boat dock at the southern west area of The Sinkholes in Vanaheim. Check the map above for reference. |
| 2 |  Head straight towards south of the river path until you see the cemented platform from earlier. |
| 3 |     Continue rowing your boat towards the northeast area of the platform and you will see a boat dock. After you have surfaced from the boat, proceed north until you see a chain on the wall that prompts you to open up the gate to another river section. |
Defeat The Ash Tyrant

| 1 |  Continue towards the now availabe river section and head straight towards the northwest path of the river. You will see a boat dock before you. |
| 2 |  After you have landed on the boat dock, head towards the gate near the area and open it. |
| 3 |  Proceed towards the passageway and you will see a wall suddenly crumble on your left. The dragon has a tendency to breath fire inside the passageway, so a tactical retreat to the open area where the crumbled wall was before would be wise. |
| 4 |   After taking refuge inside the open area, you will notice a wall riddled with yellow cracks that are primed for detonation. Aim your spear at the yellow cracks and detonate them simultaneously after all three cracks are embedded with spears. |
| 5 |   Head straight to the now available area and proceed until you reach the end of the passageway. You will notice a platform above you. Climb it and take refuge on a wall ahead of you as the dragon will be continuously breathing fire inside. |
| 6 |     You will notice a crack on the wall across you. Hurl your spear towards it and detonate the spear to block the passageway from the falling debris from your detonation. You may also acquire an hourglass in the area, which is needed to complete the Casualties of War: The Hourglass favor. |

| 1 |    Climb towards the wall where you are prompted to. |
| 2 |  The Untamed Fury will descend from a higher surface and wreak havoc upon you. After taking a considerable amount of damage, the relentless foe will tactically retreat from the area. |
| 3 |    Proceed towards the dragon's lair above you. |
| 4 |  Defeat The Ash Tyrant. |
