When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Leonardo are +Spd and -Def. Leonardo's Spd is at base 42, and lacking an exclusive weapon requires him to boost Spd in order to prevent follow-up attacks from the fastest metagame foes.
Leonardo's Def is his least important stat and can be safely taken as a bane without impacting most of his matchups.
We recommend +Spd when merging Leonardo up to +10 to maximize the chances of him preventing his foe's follow-up attacks.

Leonardo is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Leonardo's inheritable Doubler Bow+ grants a visible Atk/Res+6 bonus to himself and nearby allies at the start of each turn.
In combat, Doubler Bow+ grants Leonardo bonus Atk/Spd/Def/Res equal to 4 plus the highest bonus on each stat between himself and nearby allies.
This effect can be used to improve all of Leonardo's stats if utilized properly, making him a good all-around unit.
Leonardo suffers from not having any unique skills to call his own, making him unable to stand out amongst other units.
Colorless Bow units are quite abundant in the game, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Leonardo replaceable by better units.
