The best IVs for Setsuna are +Atk and -HP. A +Atk IV adds to her already high Atk stat. This allows Setsuna to defeat a wide range of foes in one turn. It opens the feasibility of her using a Brave Bow and it jives nicely with the follow-up attack of Bowbreaker 3. Her HP is of less importance to her, so it is best to take HP as her bane. Additionally, HP can always be raised via the Weapon Refinery.

How to Use, Explanation

A simple, yet expensive Firesweep set for Setsuna. By stacking Spd, she can accomplish scoring follow-up attacks and activating Flashing Blade 3.

How to Use, Explanation

This build uses the recoil from Fury 4 to activate Desperation and allow consecutive attacks for future engagements. Make sure to keep the unit alive after the first combat since they will be in exploitable HP ranges! Brazen Atk/Spd 3 becomes very accessible too, thanks to this mechanic.

Setsuna is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Setsuna Strengths

Bowbreaker and Assassin's Bow+/Setsuna's Yumi gives her an edge against other ranged physical units!

Setsuna is a fierce opponent not just for flying foes, but also for other bow-wielding units, thanks to her passive skill Bowbreaker 3. Being able to take on bow units, who are very high in number in this game, is a huge advantage for her.

On the other hand, Assassin's Bow+ and Setsuna's Yumi also provides the same effect against dagger units. This allows Setsuna to be a great match-up against many unit types in the game.

Weapon can be evolved to Guard Bow+

Setsuna has the option to evolve her bow into a Guard Bow+ which grants +6 Def/Res in-combat if she is attacked by a ranged unit. This opens her up for alternative builds that aims to patch-up her weaknesses in durability and specialize her into mainly taking down other bow units.

Can Support Allies with Reciprocal Aid

Reciprocal Aid allows Setsuna to swap HP with her allies. You can use this to heal allies who are in need or to help Setsuna activate skills like Desperation 3, Brash Assault 3 or skills like Brazen Atk/Spd 3.

Decent Spd

Setsuna sports a base Spd of 37 which is quite high even with powercreep. With little investment, she can score follor-up attacks on a wide range of units. Of course, this also makes her hard to score follow-up attacks on.

Setsuna Weaknesses

Low Defenses

Setsuna's Def and Res sit at only 22 and 23 respectively. This makes her extremely fragile. Though her Spd is decent, if an enemy is able to outspeed her or double-attack through a Brave weapon, she will most likely be taken out. Always be mindful of her positioning in relation to opponents that can easily take her out.
