What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill heals nearby allies and neutralizes their penalties for every Rally or movement Assist used on/by unit, grants stat bonuses during combat, and makes a guaranteed follow-up attack. ・ Exclusive C skill grants Def/Res+4 and a conditional Miracle effect to nearby allies. |
Might: 16 Range: 1 Grants Atk+3. If a Rally skill or movement Assist skill is used by unit or targets unit, restores 10 HP to allies within 2 spaces of unit and target after movement, then neutralizes any 【Penalty】 on those allies. (Includes unit and target. Does not stack even if effect ranges of unit and target overlap.) At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit during combat and unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack. If foe's Range = 2, calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res. |
Range: 1 Grants Atk +6 to target ally and allies within 2 spaces of target (excluding unit) for 1 turn. |
If unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Res+5 and bonus to Atk/Res during combat = current penalty on each of those stats x 2 (Example: If unit has -7 penalty to Atk, grants Atk+19, for a net bonus of Atk+12.) Calculates each stat bonus independently. |
Enables 【Canto (Rem. +1)】. Inflicts Atk/Res-3 on foe during combat. 【Canto (Rem. +1)】 |
If unit is within 2 spaces of any allies, grants Def/Res+4 and the following effect to unit and those allies during combat: "If unit's HP ≥ 75% and foe would reduce unit's HP to 0, unit survives with 1 HP. (Once per combat. Does not stack with non-Special effects that allow unit to survive with 1 HP if foe's attack would reduce HP to 0.)" |
Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |
---|---|---|
HP (16) | ★★☆☆☆ | |
Atk (10) | ★★★★★ | |
Spd (7) | ★★☆☆☆ | |
Def (9) | ★★★★☆ | |
Res (8) | ★★★★☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Ymir are +Atk and -HP. Her Atk is a superboon and is applied twice with the guaranteed follow-up attack of Everliving Breath.
Her Def and Res are above average and her Spd isn't unsalvageable; Ymir can outspeed dedicated tank units. Thus, we take -HP as a bane.
We recommend +Atk when merging Ymir to +10 for similar reasons above.

Ymir's base kit is good to go right out of the box. Simply add a Special and a Sacred Seal and she's good to go. We opted for Form skills to continue providing the effects of Everliving Domain.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Ymir is a close magic attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Ymir's Everliving Breath has multiple effects that aid her for both offense and support.
It grants a flat Atk+3, in-combat Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5, and a guaranteed follow-up attack. It also grants adaptive damage against ranged foes like every other breath weapon.
Its most unique trait is healing herself and nearby allies for 10 HP and neutralizing their penalties every time a Rally or movement Assist is used on or by Ymir.
Paired with units like Legendary or Valentine's Lucina who can use assists that grant extra actions, you can heal your team for as much as 30 HP per turn!
Ymir also comes with an exclusive skill in Everliving Domain. This skill grants Def/Res+4 to nearby allies and provides a Joint Drive Miracle effect.
This is a unique effect as of the time of posting, and it protects Ymir and her nearby allies from falling to heavy nukers that deal massive damage in one hit.
This Miracle effect only triggers when the unit's HP ≥ 75%. This can be bypassed by units that attack twice, as long as the first attack brings their HP below the 75% threshold, so be careful when engaging in combat!
The HP condition of Everliving Domain is checked upon receiving an attack, and not at the start of combat.
Foes with high Atk and brave effects such as Summer Edelgard or Ninja Corrin (F) can easily bypass this check by bringing Ymir or her allies under the HP threshold with the first attack, and then defeating them with the second.
Ymir takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

Enables 【Canto (Rem. +1)】. Inflicts Atk/Res-1 on foe during combat. 【Canto (Rem. +1)】 After an attack, Assist skill, or structure destruction, unit can move spaces = any movement not already used that turn + 1. (If unit used a movement skill that warped them, its remaining movement is 0.) (Unit moves according to movement type. Once per turn, cannot attack or assist. Only highest value applied.
