Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Winter Felix will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Spd/-Def

The best IVs for Winter Felix are +Spd and -Def. A higher Spd stat allows Winter Felix to get a ton of follow-up attacks on his foes. It also allows him to take less follow-up attacks from enemy units. Taking a Def bane will balance his defensive stats which is ideal for survival so this bane is great for him. His Res is a superbane so we do not recommend taking it as the bane.

You can also go for a -HP IV because you can make up for the lost HP through a weapon upgrade.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Winter Felix to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With this IV, he can reach 44 Spd without skills. If you prefer relying on skills to increase Felix's Spd, you can go for a +Atk IV instead.

How to Use, Explanation

The aim of this build is to score 2 attacks in a row to take out foes without having Felix to take damage. It revolves around the effects of Daring Fighter 3 which blocks skills that prevents Felix from landing follow-up attacks. If his HP is equal or less than 80%, he lands attacks consecutively without a counterattack. The other skills just setup for a follow-up attack and the self-inflicted damage from Atk/Spd Push 4 make it easy to activate Daring Fighter 3. Deadeye is a bit expensive, so it can be replaced by other damage Specials, but it is very powerful in the current meta of damage reduction skills.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a simple budget build for Winter Felix. Odd Spd Wave 3 is picked up to make sure you nail follow-up attacks and Armored Boots is for mobility. You can also go for Armor March 3 if you find it more your style of play.

Winter Felix is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Winter Felix Strengths

Reindeer Bow+ improves offense and defense with nearby allies

Just by being within 2 spaces of an ally, Reindeer Bow+ grants:

1. Grants +5 Atk
2. Grants +5 Def
3. Inflicts Special cooldown charge-1 on foe per attack,

This not only boosts Winter Felix's ability to both deal and take damage, but it reduces the amount of damage his team will take because of the slowed cooldown.

The trigger condition is simple and pretty easy to make so make sure that you have it on most of the time.

Dull Range 3 Neutralizes Bonuses on Ranged Foes

Dull Range 3 neutralizes the bonuses of the foe if they are a ranged unit. Combined with Winter Felix's great defenses, Dull Range makes him extremely durable against teams that rely on buffs such as Fortify and Rally skills. This also makes him a great matchup against magic users that are using a Blade tome.

Be warned though that buffs that are applied during combat are unaffected by Dull Range 3.

Reindeer Bow+ can be upgraded for more Spd!

For 500 Arena Medals, 50 Refining Stones and 350 SP, Reindeer Bow+ can be upgraded to give +2 HP and +2 Spd. There are other options too, but if you really want to maximize Felix's amazing Spd we suggest getting this upgrade. It is relatively cheap and the Spd bonus will go a long way especially in higher echelons of combat.
