When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-Res

The best IVs for Petra are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Petra to get a ton of follow-up attacks on her foes. It also helps her defend against follow-up attacks from foes! Her Res is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Petra to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. At that point, she will reach 45 Spd, which is definitely at an elite level. You could also go for a +Atk IV if it will make it more convenient for you to take advantage of Hunting Blade's effects.

Thanks to Trait Fruits, you can now freely switch IVs on a unit without needing to pull for another copy. This can be used to take advantage of Hunting Blade's effects for those very niche situations such as clearing an Abyssal map, but it is very expensive.

Petra is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Petra Strengths

Hunting Blade has multiple powerful effects.

Hunting Blade is akin to a all-purpose knife because it boasts a myriad of effects that help make Petra an effective unit regardless of the situation.

• It accelerates her special trigger by 1 count. This puts Luna to a cooldown of 2.
• It grants effective damage against beast foes.
• It inflicts -7 Def/Res after combat to the target Petra attacked. This debuff is also applied to all foes within 2 spaces of said target.

Last but certainly not least, it can potentially grant +5 to all stats if Petra is within 2 spaces of an ally whose stats are greater than hers! Stats are counted individually so it might be very tricky to get a +5 to all stats, but supposing you are just attacking an enemy, getting a +5 Atk/Spd would be more than enough!

Offensively Stronger with Allies Around

Atk/Spd Form 3 increases Petra's Atk/Spd by the number of allies within 2 spaces of Petra. Although the max value of the buff is only +7 Atk/Spd, it is still a powerful and convenient buff that is easily triggered. It has a very similar trigger condition to Hunting Blade's all-stat buff and when combined, Petra can get +12 Atk/Spd!

A good quality of this skill is that it is available in both phases unlike a skill like Swift Sparrow 3.

Improves Mobility of Ground Allies

Ground Orders 3 allows infantry, armored and cavalry allies adjacent to Petra at the start of a turn the ability to move to a space adjacent to allies within 2 spaces of them. This ability greatly increases the mobility of ground allies. This also provides a lot of utility as you can use it to both fling allies into battle or position them in a safer place. This makes Petra a potential candidate for parties that revolve around ground allies despite her movement type.

Weak to bows

As a flying unit, Petra takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
