When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Winter Cecilia will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Def/-Spd

Winter Cecilia's best IVs are +Def and -Spd. A Def IV allows her to get balaned defensive stats which is ideal for survivability. She is mainly used as a wall so survivability is very important for her. Her Spd is a rather useless stat as it is very low and thus very unreliable. Spd is best taken as a bane for Winter Cecilia.

+Def for a +10 Merge Project

If you are trying to build a +10 Merge Winter Cecilia, +Def is the best IV. This is for the same reasons as above. If you need Winter Cecilia to specialize deeply as a magic wall, you can get a +Res IV instead. Do not worry about physical enemies as her Def stats will still be at great levels.

If you plan to run her frequently in Aether Raids, a +Res will be further justified as powerful magic attackers are rampant in that game mode.

Winter Cecilia is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Winter Cecilia Strengths

Atk/Res Bond Increases Offensive Power

Atk/Res Bond 3 increases Winter Cecilia's Atk and Def by +5 if she is adjacent to an ally. Since it is an in-combat buff, it stacks with other combat buffs, so it is good to pair with units that have skills like Atk Tactic or Spur Def. Since it is not visible outside of combat, this means that she will not be vulnerable to skills like Chill Atk 3.

Def Ploy 3 is a Strong Debuff

Def Ploy 3 inflicts -5 Def to enemies in cardinal directions if Winter Cecilia's Res is more than their Res. Winter Cecilia' Res is fairly high so the only think you need to worry about is positioning her properly in order to take advantage of this potential damage increase.

Goodie Boot is a powerful weapon

Goodie Boot+ raises Winter Cecilia's Def/Res by the number of allies within 2 spaces x 2. It has a maximum bonus of +6 to each stat. Combined with Atk/Res Bond 3 which has a similar trigger condition, Winter Cecilia can reach bonuses as high as +5 Atk +6 Def +11 Res. This makes her very bulky and deadly especially when up against magic units.

It also inflicts -7 Def/Res after combat. You can exploit this in the player phase by baiting enemies into attacking Winter Cecilia in the enemy phase and then finishing them off once Cecilia gets her chance.

Vulnerable to Follow-up Attacks

Winter Cecilia's Spd is only 23 at Lv. 40. This makes her very vulnerable to follow-up attacks from enemies. We recommend a inheriting skill like Wary Fighter 3 or a Sacred Seal like Deflect Melee 3. These either protect her from follow-ups or reduces the damage taken from said attacks.

Weak to Armor Effective Weapons

Winter Cecilia takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Armorslayer+, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
