When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-HP

The best IVs for Stahl are +Spd and -HP. A higher Spd stat allows Stahl to get a ton of follow-up attacks on his foes. Since this is a superboon, you should take advantage of it as much as possible. His HP is of less importance and it can be supplemented for through the weapon refinery so it is safe to take as a bane.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a premium build for Stahl that builds around his special effect refine. With his special effect refine, he can strike twice in the enemy phase. This fully stacks with Quick Riposte 3 so he can quad strike in the right conditions. The other skills in this kit are taken to increase his damage either directly through Atk or by increasing Ignis' damage by increasing Def.

Panther Sword allows Stahl to score an extra attack under certain circumstances. As discussed in his weaknesses section, finding a niche for Stahl to fill-in nicely is quite hard because of his odd stat spread and mediocre skill pool. This special refinement effect clearly places him in a niche role—an enemy phase threat for an all-cavalry team.

Stahl is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Stahl Strengths

Special effect refine is very powerful

Panther Sword turns Stahl into an enemy phase threat! Together with Swap, and even Obstruct if you decide to keep the skill, Stahl can swoop in to protect the more fragile cavalry units like Reinhardt and Cecilia in an all-cavalry team and then proceed to cause havoc in the ensuing enemy phase. Swap is a versatile skill

Swap can be used to reposition an ally and Stahl simultaneously. You can use it to put Stahl out of danger or to protect a more fragile ally by putting Stahl in the line of fire.

Obstruct 3 can be used to protect allies

Obstruct limits enemy movement for as Stahl is at least at 50% HP. This synergizes well with Swap and allows Stahl to protect his allies from getting taken out.

This combo is perfect for modes like Grand Hero Battles where losing a unit means defeat or modes like Arena where losing units means a decreased score.

Stahl Weaknesses

Does not have a strong sense of uniqueness

Because of Stahl's odd stat spread, he does not make for a good offensive nor defensive unit. He feels half-baked when trying to go for either roles. If you are to make use of him in the long run, we suggest inheriting powerful skills onto him to help her contribute to your team more.
