How to Beat Chuchu

Strategy

Regular Chuchu

How to Beat Chuchu
A simple sword slash defeats it. When it merges, proceed to continue slashing until every Chuchu is defeated.

Chuchus are small, slimy enemies that are easily beatable by a sword. Small Chuchus can merge and become bigger, increasing the number of sword attacks needed to defeat each merged Chuchus.

There are two variants: Fire Chuchus, and Electric Chuchus.

Fire Chuchu Variant

Chuchu - fire variant
Fire Chuchus will burn you on contact. Like all fire-type enemies, you can roll yourself to remove the flames, or wait until your Fireshield Earrings cleanses it.

Avoid using Wooden Shields or its upgrades as the flames may disintegrate it.

Electric Chuchu Variant

Chuchu - electric variant
Electric Chuchus will electrocute you on contact when they are charged. Like all electric-type enemies, avoid attacking them in this state.

Avoid using the Iron Shield or its upgrades as it is vulnerable to electricity.

Stop Chuchu Splits and Merges

Chuchu - split
Bigger Chuchus will split when they are hit by an attack, but they will try to merge back. Avoid this by constantly swinging your sword.

For Electric Chuchus, attack in-between their charged-state.

Hanging on Ceilings

Chuchu - hang on ceilings
Sometimes, Chuchus can hang on cavern ceilings and fall on to you when you go near it. Watch out and try not to be suprised from its assault.
