Goddess Cube Guide: All Goddess Cube Locations and Rewards

This guide will show the locations for all 27 Goddess Cubes in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Read on to learn where to find all Goddess Cubes, as well as the location and rewards of each Goddess Chest.

All Goddess Cube Locations and Chest Locations

There are 27 Goddess Cubes and Chests that can be found in the surface and the sky respectively. Performing a Skyward Strike on the cube activates it and unlocks the corresponding chest in the sky.

Goddess Cube #1 (Adventure Pouch): Activate the cube next to Gorko

Map Location	How to Get
Deep Woods	After crossing the tightropes, you can find this Goddess Cube next to Gorko.
Pumpkin Landing	Find the chest outside the front door of Lumpy Pumpkin.

Goddess Cube #2 (Piece of Heart): Find the cube outside the Skyview Temple

Map Location	How to Get
Deep Woods	Outside Skyview Temple in Deep Woods.
The Sky	Fly to the small island near the Lumpy Pumpkin to find the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #13 (Silver Rupee): Swim inside the Great Tree

Map Location	How to Get
Faron Woods	Swim inside the Great Tree and once you reach the exit, jump down to the west side of the tree to reach the Goddess Cube.
Skyloft	Head south of the Knight Academy and glide down to the small floating island to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #14 (Piece of Heart): Jump down from the Great Tree or use the Clawshots to reach the cube

Map Location	How to Get
Faron Woods	Climb to the top of the Great Tree. Once you are outside, go to the southeast part of the tree and drop down to the Goddess Cube using your Sailcloth. Alternatively, you can use the Clawshots to grapple onto the target next to the Goddess Cube.
The Sky	Fly to the island east of the Lanayru beacon and land on the higher ledge to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #15 (Rupee Medal): Jump down from the Great Tree and land on the platform with the tightrope

Map Location	How to Get
Faron Woods	Climb to the top of the Great Tree. Go to the area near Kikwi, you'll see a platform that sticks out. Go south and by the ledge you should see a tightrope. Walk across the tightrope to reach the Goddess Cube.
Thunderhead	Inside the Thunderhead, use the Digging Mitts on the soft soil spot to reach the other end with a regular chest. Kill the Walltulas on the vines and use the Clawshots to climb up and reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #22 (Rupee Medal): Use the Clawshots to reach the top of the Skyview Temple

Map Location	How to Get
Deep Woods	The Goddess Cube is above the entrance of Skyview Temple. Use your Clawshot on the vines to get on top of the Temple.
Beedle's Island	Enter Beddle's Shop and sleep on the bed until night. Climb the ladder and head to the area where he sleeps to find the Goddess Chest.

Map Location	How to Get
Skyview Temple	Behind the Goddess Statue of Skyview Spring in Skyview Temple.
Pumpkin Landing	Fly to the Pumpkin Landing and land on top of the Lumpy Pumpkin to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #4 (Small Seed Satchel): On a ledge left of the Bird Statue

Map Location	How to Get
Eldin Volcano	On a small ledge right of the Eldin Volcano entrance.
The Sky	Fly to the island west of Fun Fun Island to find the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #5 (Silver Rupee): Run past the Bird Statue and head straight to find the cube

Map Location	How to Get
Eldin Volcano	After passing the Bird Statue, there are three pathways. Drop to the ledge on the left and turn right. Head straight until you find the Goddess Cube.
The Sky	Fly to the upper part of the island in between Beedle's Island and Bamboo Island to find the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #6 (Gold Rupee): Jump in the small volcano and land on the pillar

Map Location	How to Get
Eldin Volcano	Use the Sailcloth to drop down on the small volcano and land on the pillar with the cube.
Isle of Songs	Head to the right side of the Isle of Songs to find the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #7 (Gold Rupee): On top of a ledge west of the Earth Temple

Map Location	How to Get
Eldin Volcano	Head west of the Earth Temple entrance and dig up the soft soil spots to reveal an air geyser. Throw a bomb at the gyser to blow up the boulder and reveal the Goddess Cube.
Bamboo Island	Fly to Bamboo Island northeast of Skyloft and go behind the building to find the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #8 (Treasure Medal): On a small ramp behind the Bokoblin Camp west of the Earth Temple

Map Location	How to Get
Eldin Volcano	Head east of the Earth Temple entrance and go behind the Bokoblins and small huts to find a ramp leading to the Goddess Cube.
The Sky	Fly to the top part of the small island southeast of Beedle's island and use the vines to drop down to find the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #9 (Piece of Heart): Slide down on the left gyser and reach the lower platform

Map Location	How to Get
Eldin Volcano	Head to the northeastern corner of the Eldin Volcano and slide down on the sand slide. Slide into the left gyser and head to the lower platform with the Goddess Cube
Skyloft	Dive to the main river of Skyloft and swim towards the underwater passageway until you reach a small pond with the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #10 (Silver Rupee): South of the Bird Statue

Map Location	How to Get
Lanayru Mine	From the Bird Statue at Lanayru Mine, head south to find the Goddess Cube.
The Sky	Fly to the island southeast of Beddle's Island and drop down on the lower area. Bomb the cracked rocky wall to reveal the Goddess Chest inside.

Goddess Cube #11 (Heart Medal): Use the Amphilus as a platform to reach the cube

Map Location	How to Get
Lanayru Desert	Head to the southwestern part of the Lanayru and use a Hook Beetle to kill the Ampilus. Run and stand on its shell to recover stamina and run towards the Goddess Cube.
The Sky	Head east of the beam of light at Lanayru and land on the volcano island to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #12 (Piece of Heart): Ride the minecart and hit the cube

Map Location	How to Get
Temple of Time	Activate the minecart at the northwestern part of the Temple of Time and slash the Goddess Cube with a Skyward Strike.
Beedle's Island	Fly to the island above Beedle's Island to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #17 (Heart Medal): Bomb the northeastern cracked wall and use the Clawshots to reach the cube

Map Location	How to Get
Lanayru Desert	Northeast of Lanayru Desert, you will see a crack on the wall. Blow up the crack and use your Clawshots then pass through a narrow corridor to reach the Goddess Cube.
The Sky	Fly to the island west of Beedle's Island and land on the lower area. Dive down and swim until you reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #18 (Life Medal): Use the Clawshots to reach the ledge with the cube on it

Map Location	How to Get
Lanayru Desert	On one of the ledges southwest of Lanayru Mining Facility, use your Clawshots to get up the ledge and reach the Goddess Cube.
The Sky	Fly to the small island northwest of Fun Fun Island and climb down the vines to reach the chest at the bottom of the island.

Goddess Cube #16 (Gold Rupee): Walk south of the Bird Statue to reach the cavern with the cube

Map Location	How to Get
Lake Floria	On the way to Lake Floria, you will see a Bird Statue. Walk to the back end of a cavern to find a Goddess Cube.
Skyloft	Fly to the floating islands west of Skyloft and use the Clawshots to reach the large island. Dive to the northwestern side to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #23 (Gold Rupee): Use the Clawshots on the vines to reach the cube

Map Location	How to Get
Lake Floria	The Goddess Cube is outside the entrance to the Ancient Cistern. By some hanging vines, use your Clawshot to reach the cube.
The Sky	Fly to the small island beneath Fun Fun Island to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #19 (Gold Rupee): Use the Clawshots to pass through the boxes and reach the cavern

Map Location	How to Get
Lanayru Sand Sea	At the Entrance of Lanayru Sand Sea, near where you first met Skipper, use your Clawshots on one of the boxes to reach the cavern.
Bazaar	Head behind Gondo's Scrap Shop at the Bazaar to find this Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #20 (Potion Medal): Use the Clawshots on the pillar with vines to reach the cube

Map Location	How to Get
Skipper's Retreat	On a pillar in Skipper's Retreat, just ahead of the bridge, look to the left and you'll see a pillar with covered in vines. Use your Clawshots to reach the Goddess Cube.
The Sky	Head northwest of Fun Fun Island and land on the small platform. Use the Clawshot to grapple over to the other island with the gate to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #21 (Piece of Heart): Use the Clawshots in front of the stronghold to reach the upper platform

Map Location	How to Get
Pirate Stronghold	After completing the Pirate Stronghold dungeon go outside by the entrance. You should see a target above the door. Use your Clawshots. This leads to the Goddess Cube on a ledge.
Skyloft	Head to the eastern side of Skyloft and use the Clawshots to climb up the floating rock near the Waterfall cave to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #24 (Piece of Heart): Dive down towards the pillar with the cube on it

Map Location	How to Get
Volcano Summit	By the waterfalls in Volcano Summit, there is a ledge. Below this, there is another ledge behind a pillar containing a Goddess Cube. Glide over to it using the Sailcloth.
Bug Rock	Head to the western side of Bug Rock inside Thunderhead and look down to find a wooden platform below. Drop down to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #25 (Small Bomb Bag): Climb out of the window west of the Fire Sanctuary

Map Location	How to Get
Volcano Summit	Turn left facing the entrance to the Fire Sanctuary, climb out the window straight ahead. Use your Clawshots on the pillars to reach the Goddess Cube.
Isle of Songs	Land on top of the main tower of the Isle of Songs to find the Goddess Cube.

Goddess Cube #26 (Empty Bottle): Head to the cave west of the entrance

Map Location	How to Get
Volcano Summit	Inside the Volcano Summit, go inside a room just to the right. Use the floating platforms to get closer to the Goddess Cube and deliver a Skyward Strike.
Thunderhead	Fly to the island southwest of the Isle of Songs. Use the Mogma Mitts to enter the underground cavern and climb out of the hole. Climb up the vines to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #27 (Small Quiver): In the northeastern corner where you plant the Life Tree Seedling

Map Location	How to Get
Lanayru Gorge	By the Lanayru Gorge, you'll find the Goddess Cube at the northeast corner of the map.
Thunderhead	Fly to the island southwest of the Isle of Songs. Use the Mogma Mitts to enter the underground cavern and climb out of the upper hole to reach the Goddess Chest.

How to Use Goddess Cubes

Perfom a Skyward Strike to Activate It

Goddess Cubes are mysterious metallic objects that can be found throughout the Surface. These cubes are a relic of ancient times and were left by the goddess to her chosen hero.

Performing a Skyward Strike activates the Goddess Cube, allowing you to unlock the corresponding Goddess Chest that is found elsewhere in the Sky.

While activating the Goddess Cubes is not required to complete the story, the items you receive from the Goddess Chests provide benefits especially when farming for Rupees and upgrade materials. The cubes are also essential for completionists who are aiming to 100% the game.
