Sitting on stools and other chairs will gradually recover your health until it goes to full. Chairs are strategically found near safe spots or bird statues around Skyloft and in dungeons.
One fun thing to note is that when Link sits on a chair for a long period of time, he will slowly start to nap. If other characters are nearby, they may even chat you up when you sit down for a moment!
Stool Locations: Where to Find Stools

Make sure to have Fairies in Empty Bottles before heading on to your adventure! Fairies will revive Link and restore 6 hearts upon collapsing in battle. Fairies can be collected by either scooping them with an Empty Bottle or by catching them with a Bug Net.
An easy way to get them early in the game is by using Glittering Spores (found in Faron Woods) to turn Heart Flowers into Fairies (but only with a 50% chance).

Your Stamina Guage recovers slowly and does not immediately regenerate after you stop running. However, you can instantly recover your Stamina Gauge by reading sign boards or talking to an NPC. It will be especially helpful in navigating around Skyloft!

When skydiving from a high altitude, flying squirrels of various colors called Ringers may approach you and trigger a mini-game. While free falling, gathering all 10 Ringers before landing will reward you with 20 Rupees.
The best place you can do this is by diving on Pumpkin Landing at max altitude.
How to Get Rupees (Money) Quickly

Glittering Spores are a helpful item that triggers various reactions to specific items or enemies when sprayed. To collect Glittering Spores, hit a glittering mushroom with your sword and scoop the Glittering Spores with an Empty Bottle. Glittering Spores can be used up to 5 times.
