It is recommended to use button-only controls when playing Rickety Coaster. Using it allows you to control the minecart using the left thumbstick, preventing unintentional movements caused by the motion controls.
How to Use Button and Motion Controls
Tilt the left thumbstick to the direction of the curve to obtain a speed boost. It is not necessary to tilt at the right time, so you can start tilting in advance as soon as you can see a curve ahead.
It may take several tries to complete the "Heart Stopping!" challenge as you need to note which path leads to a dead end or an infinite loop. Memorize the route and obtain speed boosts to complete the minigame as soon as possible.
Press the left thumbstick to jump just before the minecart reaches the pier as shown in the image above. Jumping prevents the minecart from slowing down as it lands on the next track.

Second Jump |
The timing for the jump is the same for the last two tracks of the "Heart Stopping!" course. Cllick on the images above to learn the location of the piers.
After heading right to the branching route, you will find that the track curves to the left of the pillar in the image above. Instead of tilting to the left, tilt to the right as you climb up the track to gain a speed boost.
