Post Game Contents and 100 Percent Guide

This is a guide to 100 percent completion in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to see a checklist of everything you need to do to reach 100% Completion.

Complete all Side Quests Obtain the Hylian Shield Collect all Heart Pieces Collect all Gratitude Crystals Upgrade all Items Collect all 5 Empty Bottles Collect all Treasures and Bugs Activate all Goddess Cubes and Open all Goddess Chests Obtain all Dowsing Targets Complete Hero Mode

Complete All Side Quests

There are a total of 12 Sidequests need to complete in order to reach 100 percent completion. You need to to find Kukiel first to activate and complete the remaining sidequests.

Obtain the Hylian Shield

The Hylian Shield is the only indestructible shield in the game. To obtain it, you need to play the Boss Rush minigame and defeat eight bosses.

Collect All Heart Pieces

You need to collect a total of 26 Heart Pieces as part of the 100% completion rate. Collecting all pieces of heart grants you additional six hearts.

Obtain All Gratitude Crystals

A total of 80 Gratitude Crystals can be obtained, 65 of which are obtained as a side quest reward while the remaining 15 are found throughout Skyloft, Pumpkin Island, and at Beedle's Island at night.

Upgrade All Items

As part of the 100% completion rate, you need to upgrade all your items. Stock up on some Rupees and materials to fully upgrade all your items in the inventory.

Collect All 5 Empty Bottles

Empty Bottles allow you to hold certain bottle items such as potions and fairies. There are 5 Empty Bottles to collect and are part of the 100% completion rate.

Collect All Treasures and Bugs

A total of 16 Treasures and 12 Bugs are required to collect one of each as part of the game's 100 percent completion rate. These materials are used to upgrade the items in your inventory.

Activate All Goddess Cubes and Open All Goddess Chests

There are a total of 27 Goddess Cubes that must be activated throughout the sky and the surface. In addition, you also need to find and open the respective Goddess Chests to reach 100 percent completion.

Obtain All Dowsing Targets

There are a total of 19 Dowsing Targets to scan, 10 of which are scanned as part of the main quest and 4 are from side quests. The remaining 5 are extra targets that can be scanned by following some specific steps.

Complete Hero Mode

As part of 100 percent completion, you must finish the game at Hero Mode. We recommend farming for Bugs and Treasures on your previous save file as these materials will carried over when starting this mode.
