Defeating certain enemies allows you to farm for Monster Horns. See the table below to learn which enemies drop Monster Horns.

Towards the end game, players will have the the option to buy Monster Horns for 100 rupees from the Moonlight Merchant in Skyloft Cave. This is a good option for players with a shortage of Monster Horns or for those who have a hard time farming for them.
Note: The Moonlight Merchant is only available at night.
How to Find the Moonlight Merchant
You can use your whip on Bokoblins to easily farm Monster Horns! Make sure that the Bokoblins are visibly carrying monster horns in their pockets.
Monster Horns can be sold to Rupin at night for 30 Rupees.

The easiest way to farm monster horns is to travel to the eldin volcano and spawn at the temple entrance. There is a bokoblin with a horn just to the side of the entrance. grab the horn, run inside the temple. Then just run back out and rinse and repeat. easy monster horn each time.

This is no longer true. I just finished the Eldin Silent Realm, and wanted to upgrade the quiver before moving on. There is no bokoblin boss that spawns in this location any more.
