Taking advantage of the Nintendo Switch's processing power, Skyward Sword HD has enhanced shadows and textures compared to the original Nintendo Wii version.

In addition, the Switch version has minor lighting improvements, making cutscenes less darker than the original.

The original Wii version has a subtle yellow filter applied, making the clouds have a slight yellowish tint. This effect has been reduced for the Switch version.
