This is a guide to Dowsing in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn how to dowse, as well as the list of all dowsing targets!
How to Dowse
Press and Hold the Up Button
Press and hold the Up Button to bring up the Dowsing menu. Select the item from the wheel and let go of the Up Button.
Use the Right Thumbstick to Look Around
After selecting the Dowsing target, a purple circle will appear on your screen. The beeping sound indicates if you are near towards the target.
When your screen is pointing in the right direction, the arrow on the Dowsing circle will point to your Dowsing target.
Use the right thumbstick, or swing the right Joy-Con, to look around while in first-person view. You can also move around using the left thumbstick.

Skyloft | After reviving Scrapper, talk to Jakamar. |

Sealed Grounds | Let Fi scan your Sailcloth. |
