Doom Bloom Dodge and Counter Tips
Strategy Against Doom Bloom
Pay attention to all of Doom Bloom's pre-attack signals and dodge its attacks as it happens. All of its attacks can be countered, so take advantage of the ability to damage it through that.
Attack Pattern 1
| Shoots either an ice ball or a fire ball. If two of the same ball type combine, the ball will become bigger and deal more damage. Two different ball types will cancel out each other. | |
| How to Dodge | This attack cannot be dodged. |

| How to Counter | Fire balls travel faster than ice balls, so adjust your swing timing accordingly. Fused balls require two hits to be destroyed. |
Attack Pattern 2
| Laughs maniacally then bites its target. The angle of the bite depends on how long its laugh was. | |
| How to Dodge | Shorter laughs (3 counts) signal a low bite that should be avoided with a jump. Stay still if the Doom Bloom laughs for longer (4 counts or more). |

| When it is the only enemy of its type, burrows itself in the ground, reappears in front of either Mario or Luigi, and performs snap attacks. | |
