Choosing which flower crown and cake does not affect the outcome in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. See the differences between choosing the flowers and cakes in this guide.

During the Sudden Marriage Proposal main quest, you have the option to choose the cake from Slippenglide or Lottacoins, and the flower crown from either Florall or Raynforst.
Choosing which cake and flower crown only affects a cosmetic difference during the wedding cutscene. You can review the images above to see how each cake and flower crown appears.
As part of Shun's attempts to derail the wedding, you'll face some required battles as you try to pursue the flowers from Raynforst and cake from Lottacoins.
You can choose to get these wedding decor for the EXP alone. But again, it doesn't appear to have any major impact to the story.
Regardless of which flower crown and cake you get for Chilliam and Burnadette, their reactions to the design will be same. They will appear equally happy with whichever cake and flower crown you go for.

Personally I think the Slippindale cake looks way better, but the Blue Rafflesia flower is a STATEMENT that should be respected. I think you can mix the two choices up though.
