Unlocked After Completing Skorcheen Island

After you complete Skorcheen Island, you will be able to find this side quest on Shipshape Island. Talk to Billdit at his workshop, and hear his Request in order to start Craft Some Amped Gloves.

If this side quest doesn’t appear for you after you return to Shipshape Island from Skorcheen Island, you may need to progress the story a little bit.

Story Walkthrough

Requires You to Choose Billdit at Raynforst Island

After going through Rumbla Island the first time, you will be given the choice of going to either Raynforst Island to find Billdit or Twistee Island to find Maykit.

Whomever you choose first will get to make Mario and Luigi's hammers, setup a workshop on Shipshape Island, and influence certain quests. Craft Some Amped Gloves is only available if you choose to go to Billdit at Raynforst Island first.

Craft Some Amped Gloves is different from other crafting quests, as it requires a few extra steps before you can complete it.

First, you'll need need to get eight pieces of Wayaway Chain and three Egoby fish.

Wayaway Chains can be obtained as random enemy drops on Wayway Island. Set a Loot Booster Battle Plug to increase the drop rate for these materials.

Egoby is a common fish that can be caught in any Sea. Use Standard Bait and wait for three exclamation marks (!!!) to improve your chances of catching one.

How to Fish

Talk to Maykit on Rumbla Island

After giving the crafting materials to Billdit, you’ll notice he’s lacking the motivation to build the gear.

You must then travel to Rumbla Island and look for Maykit in the Island Plaza to ask for help lifting Billdit's spirits.

Travel to Twistee Island

Head to Twistee Island and talk to Maykit again near the Blue Pipe. She will suggest finding a Chill-Out Fruit in the island’s forest to cheer up Billdit.

Find the Chill-Out Fruit

The Chill-Out Fruit can be found north of the Lighthouse. Take the flower stairs and interact with the glowing object by the tree to collect the fruit.

Return to Billdit

With the Chill-Out Fruit in hand, a cutscene will play on Shipshape Island where Billdit takes the fruit, regains his motivation, and finally builds the Amped Gloves, completing the quest!

Billdit will reward you with the Amped Gloves accessory once you complete this quest. This will also be available for purchase at his workshop.

Take note that this accessory is exclusive to Billdit's workshop. If you have Maykit’s workshop, you will not be able to get this accessory.
