Strategy Against Big Glohm Spikely

The Glohmed version moves faster than normal, so make sure to time your dodges and counterattacks carefully.

Attack Pattern 1

Jumps a couple of times then hurls itself towards its target. The more it jumps, the higher it will bounce before landing its attack.
How to Dodge This attack cannot be dodged.
How to Counter Prepare the hammer of whoever Big Glohm Spikely is facing. After you see it spin and jump, wait until you see its spikes above its target, then release your hammer. The more it jumps at the start, the longer you have to wait before you swing.

Attack Pattern 2

Runs around a Bro several times before tackling him from behind.
How to Dodge This attack cannot be dodged.
How to Counter Swing your hammer when it's in front of you. An easier but riskier way to accomplish this is to wait until it slows down near the end of the attack.

Attack Pattern 3

Spins around both Mario and Luigi twice, dealing damage on contact.
How to Dodge Have either brother jump when Big Spikely gets near them to avoid damage. The interval between jumps is longer in the second rotation than the first.
How to Counter This attack cannot be countered.
