There are fearsome monsters on Offandon Island. A champion is needed to defeat them! |
|
Unlock Requirements | Complete Jellyfish Island |
Quest Start Location | Offandon Island |
After you complete Jellyfish Island, you will be able to find this side quest on Offandon Island. Talk to the Monster Mania member in a white suit on the south side of Offandon Island in order to start Monster Mania: Level 4.
If this side quest doesn’t appear for you after you return to Shipshape Island from Jellyfish Island, you may need to progress the story a little bit.
This quest unlocks once you have built either Technikki’s flying engine or Adaphne’s submarine engine and have made it past the Fortress Zokket barrier.
Technikki or Adaphne? Which Engine Should You Choose?
This side quest involves defeating enemies to complete it. You can take on this quest at any level, but take note that the enemies will all be level 100 and can 1-hit KO Mario and Luigi. However, they can also be instantly defeated as long as you dodge all of their attacks.
Maniac No. 4 can be found on the south side of Offandon Island, right next to the entrance to the Underground. To get here, simply follow the path heading south.
Talk to Maniac No. 4, and say Yes when he asks if you can take on his mutated Bob-ombs in order to start the quest.
Offandon Island Location Guide
Mario and Luigi will be faced with a horde of level 100 Bob-ombs. Your attacks can’t really do much to them, but that’s okay.
The strategy for this battle is to dodge all attacks, since Bob-ombs self-destruct as their only attack. Take note that if a Bob-omb manages to hit Mario or Luigi, they will be instantly knocked out.
It might be a good idea to practice by fighting regular Bob-ombs on Skorcheen Island before taking on this quest. If you’re still not confident about your dodging skills, equip defensive plugs that can protect you from 1-hit KOs such as the Protectus and Notdroppin plugs.
Bob-omb Dodge and Counter Strategies
