Ten is encountered at the end of your first visit in Desolatt Island, when you finally reach the lighthouse.

Pay Attention to the Red and Green Mirrors
When Ten conjures mirrors and starts launching spheres, focus on the green and red mirrors as the spheres will hit either Mario or Luigi only after they bounce off these colored mirrors.
Spheres reflected by the red mirror will head towards Mario and spheres reflected by the green mirror will head towards Luigi. Take note of the order the spheres bounced off so you can easily time your counters.
Attack Ten After Breaking His Sphere
Ten will charge at you when he creates and mounts a sphere, which you can counter every time with your hammer. The sphere will break after hitting it three times in a row, dismounting Ten and allowing you to finally counterattack with your hammer.
Focus Your Attacks on Ten
Don't bother using a turn to pick off one of the Snaptors as Ten can always resummon them. Instead, focus all your attacks and Bros. Attacks on Ten and blitz the fight as fast as you can.

| How to Counter | Spheres that bounce off the red mirror are redirected to Mario while those who hit the green mirror are for Luigi. Memorize the order of which the spheres hit the mirror and match your counter timings with it. |
Rolling Globe
| How to Dodge | This cannot be dodged. |
|---|---|
| How to Counter | Smash the sphere with your Hammer three times to dismount Ten. Swing your Hammer one last time while he's down to deal damage. |
Snaptor Bombardment
| How to Dodge | Jump if a Snaptor drops a rock, stay still if a Snaptor drops a spiky enemy, and jump simultaneously if they drop a log. |
