| Sharkbone burrows underground and reappears in front of either Mario or Luigi to bite them. | |
| How to Dodge | Wait for the ground to stop shaking, this is your cue to jump. |

| How to Counter | This attack cannot be countered. |
Attack Pattern 2
| Sharkbone runs toward Mario and Luigi in a vertical line in either direction, it will either go under or jump. | |
| How to Dodge | If Sharkbone's fin appears close to either brother, this means it's going for an undergroun attack, jump. Then, if Sharkbone jumps, stay still as jumping would cause you to take damage. |
