Strategy Against Sharkbone

It is recommended to flee if you encounter them in a battle as they can 1-hit KO either Mario or Luigi.

Attack Pattern 1

Sharkbone burrows underground and reappears in front of either Mario or Luigi to bite them.
How to Dodge Wait for the ground to stop shaking, this is your cue to jump.
How to Counter This attack cannot be countered.

Attack Pattern 2

Sharkbone runs toward Mario and Luigi in a vertical line in either direction, it will either go under or jump.
How to Dodge If Sharkbone's fin appears close to either brother, this means it's going for an undergroun attack, jump. Then, if Sharkbone jumps, stay still as jumping would cause you to take damage.
How to Counter This attack cannot be countered.

Attack Pattern 3

Sharkbone teams up with its ally and attacks both Mario and Luigi at the same time repeatedly.
How to Dodge This attack cannot be dodged.
How to Counter Time your hammer attacks once Sharkbone attempts to bite either brother.
