Billdit or Maykit? Who Should You Save First?

Either One Gives the Hammer

Choosing to save Billdit at Raynforst Island or Maykit at Twistee Island does not have any major effects in the outcome of the main story. The one you choose to save first will give you the Hammer.

The One You Save First Will Handle the Workshop in Shipshape Island

The minor difference in choosing either Billdit or Maykit is that the character you save first will be the one that handles the workshop in Shipshape Island. The other character will head back to Rumbla Island.

Save Billdit First

That being said, we recommend saving Billdit at Raynforst Island first as this will let you explore Twistee Island more efficiently by having the Hammer equipped as you explore it.

Notably, you'll be able to participate in the Hammer Rally south of Twistee Island's plaza - a minigame that has both brothers pass a ball between them using hammers. You'll need the hammer to hit the button and activate the minigame.
