Strategy Against Shy Guy

During Shy Guy's gift box attack, you have the chance to get coins by jumping into the box that contains it.

Attack Pattern 1

Pushes gift boxes to Mario and Luigi, which can either contain a Bob-omb or coins.
How to Dodge Time your jumps to easily jump over each boxes.
How to Counter Time your jumps to land on Shy Guy, which will launch the gift box forward, eventually landing in front of the target. Be cautious of boxes with Bob-ombs, as stomping on these will cause an explosion and result in damage. Likewise, avoid stomping on a Bob-omb if its box returns to you.

Attack Pattern 2

Iron containers containing regular bombs appear above. Mario and Luigi must jump depending on the flag Shy Guy raises. Whoever makes a mistake will get bombed and take damage.
How to Dodge This attack cannot be dodged.
How to Counter Jump accordingly whenever Shy Guy raises a flag. If he raises a pole, stay still. Respond correctly until a bomb drops on Shy Guy instead.
