Which Engine Should You Choose?
Choose Technikki to Make the Ship Fly

The choice you make in Two Geniuses, One Engine does not impact the main story significantly in a narrative sense, so you can pick whichever inventor you prefer.
However, we suggest Technikki's Engine for Shipshape Island as it gives the ship the ability to fly, enhancing its aesthetic, and strengthening the bond with Technikki, a crew member who has been helping the brothers with their adventure from the beginning!
Either Choice Unlocks the Same Special Quests
Choosing either Adaphne or Technikki will still unlock the same Special Quests: Dueling Geniuses and How's Bowser's Health which gives you the same rewards.
Enables Fast-Travel to Any Current
After selecting either inventor’s engine, gathering the necessary parts, and reaching Fortress Zokket, Shipshape Island will permanently gain the ability to either fly or submerge itself. This upgrade lets the ship Teleport to any current, allowing for faster and more efficient travel.
Technikki or Adaphne's Engine Walkthrough

 After making your choice between Technikki or Adaphne's invention, head over to Wayaway Island and collect a part of Bowser's Airship upon their request. |

 Once on the island, enter Bowser's Castle through the side entrance, which will lead the brothers into the Back Door. Once there, destroy the large boulder blocking your way with the Bros Bomb Bros. Move, and move forward. Proceed along the straightforward path, staying vigilant against Bowser's Minions as you navigate the area. Ascend to the upper levels and enter the doorway to the west to pass through the 4F Hallway, and continue to the next room. |

 The brothers will find themselves inside the Delivery Entrance. Head to your right and instruct Luigi to stand on the L Button by pressing the L Button on your controller, which allows him to hold the conveyor belt gate open. |

 As Mario, hop onto the first conveyor belt and ride the moving platforms to cross over to the second conveyor belt. |
| 5 |
 Jump over the metal boxes as they move toward you, and cross back over to the first conveyor belt via the moving platform. Proceed to your right, ride another moving platform until you reach the M Button on the opposite side of the gate to Luigi, then step on it to allow your brother access. |

 Now with Luigi, activate your Bro Ball Bros. Move, hold the X Button to initiate Blitz Ball, and dash across the magma. |

 Still in your Bro Ball form, pass through the holes on the netted fences until you reach the stone platform on the very back of the conveyor belts. |

 Continue toward the left, and roll downward on the conveyor belts, past more netted barriers, until you reach another stone platform. Cross to the other side and ride on the conveyor belts once more, still with the Bro Ball Bros. Move activated, and pass through two netted barriers until you reach a dead end. |

 Ride the moving platform on the side of the conveyor belts, and collect the coins as you move. Once you reach your destination, hop off and move forward to the upper level where you can find a doorway into the Warehouse Exterior. |

 There will be nothing of note inside the Warehouse Exterior except for some of Bowser's Glohm-inflicted Minions like Glohm Koopa Troopa and Glohm Magikoopa. You may choose to engage them in battle or evade them, then head into the Warehouse through the only other open doorway. You may also activate the Green Pipe Block by the doorway into the Warehouse to unlock a faster route from the Warehouse Exterior to the shores of Wayaway Island. |

 The brothers will find themselves on a previously unreachable area of the castle's Warehouse where they can find a Part of Bowser's Airship on the very far end of the room. Return to Shipshape Island, hand the airship part over to whichever inventor you have chosen to work with, and start your preparations to bypass Fortress Zokket's barrier! |

I chose Adaphne; Technikki and IDLE got banished to Jellyfish Island. Ireen was VERY upset.
