The most challenging part of the Nyleth boss fight is the arena itself. You'll start off on a platform but once it collapses, you will eventually have to rely on jumps and wall jumps to win the fight, turning up the difficulty of the fight.
Pale Nails or Thread Storm coupled with Volt Filament deals a lot of damage. However, Pale Nails in particular gives you a ranged skill that's better suited for the arena.
Conchcutter and Voltvessels will be the most effective in this fight. Conchcuttter are projectiles that can ricochet around the arena, and due to Nyleth's large-size, it would be very easy for her to get hit several times. Voltvessels, on the other hand, can exploit the boss's position throughout the fight and deal a ton of damage.
For defensive tools, Fractured Mask or Warding Bell alone should be enough.
Witch Crest's Silk Bind gives you another damage source that can also take advantage of the boss's positioning.
You can also consider using the Architect Crest to make the most out of your Red Tools. This build lets you carry 3 Red Tools, but in exchange, you will not be able to use your Silk Skill. This playstyle encourages you to play an aggressive front and to barrage projectiles at your enemies in between regular attacks. This especially works for Nyleth who is mostly stationary, so it is easy to hit her with tools.
If you run out of tools, you will be able to craft them on the spot using the Architect Crest.

Nyleth is located southwest of the Grand Gate. It's fought during the Heart of the Woods objective.
You'll also encounter Seth first before fighting Nyleth. Seth is located just before Nyleth's arena.

You'll start out on a platform that allows you to get close to Nyleth once the fight begins. However, the platform will eventually collapse, forcing you to keep wall jumping to attack and dodge.
Given this, it's best to take advantage of the platform and deal as much damage as possible before it collapses. If you equipped Cogfly, use it immediately at the start of the fight since it's easier for you to get close to Nyleth, maximizing the damage you'll do before the platform collapses.
Once the platform collapses, you'll be forced to do wall jumps to attack and dodge. If you fall, you'll get hit by the thorns at the bottom of the arena.
Given this, you have to always stay at the opposite side of where she's positioned since that side won't have thorns on it, allowing you to hang on the wall.
Additionally, Nyleth will occasionally do an attack that puts her at the other side of the arena. When this happens, you just have to move over to the side she came from.
Since you'll be constantly hanging on the wall opposite of Nyleth for majority of the fight, you'll have to be precise when you want to attack.
A simple strategy you can do to win the fight is to start at the opposite side of where Nyleth is positioned while wall jumping constantly to prevent falling. If you want to attack, do a Double Jump towards the boss and deal as much damage as possible using skills, tools, and attacks. Do this enough times, and you'll eventually defeat Nyleth.

| Counter | Stay at the opposite side and stay on the gaps. |
Nyleth shoots balls of yellow slime in multiple directions. The simplest way to dodge this attack is to go to the opposite wall of where Nyleth is positioned and just stay on the gaps between the projectiles.
| Visual Cue | ![]() Stream of Smoke. |
|---|---|
| Counter | Stay away from the stream of smoke. |
Nyleth summons spheres covered with thorns from the ground that shoots up, then falls back down. This is easy to dodge since you'll see a stream of smoke on the exact spots where the spheres will emerge, so you just have to stay away from those exact spots.
| Visual Cue | ![]() Crouches sideways for a while. |
|---|---|
| Counter | Stay away from its path. |
Nyleth charges towards the other side of the arena, removing the thorns on the side she came from and creating thorns on the other side. Dodging this attack depends on whether the platform is still there or not.
If the platform is still there, you just have to jump to avoid getting hit while Nyleth is charging. But if the platform has already collapsed, you have to not only avoid getting hit while Nyleth is charging but also transfer to the opposite wall.
| Visual Cue | ![]() Swings its head. |
|---|---|
| Counter | Stay away from Nyleth. |
Nyleth swings the stems on her head violently. This attack happens fast and occurs when you get close to Nyleth. The simplest way to dodge the attack is to move away from Nyleth. You'll probably need to double jump and glide a bit to dodge it before attacking.
| Visual Cue | ![]() Opens its mouth and emits light. |
|---|---|
| Counter | Stay away from its path. |
Nyleth opens her, then channels energy before unleashing a nova of light that covers a huge portion of the arena. This is Nyleth's most powerful attack but will only happen once the platform has collapsed.
The only way to dodge this attack is to stay on the opposite wall of where Nyleth is positioned.

You'll obtain the Pollen Heart item after defeating Nyleth.

Thank you. I've used Architect Crest, spammed Voltvessels during 1st phase, then Conchcutters and Threefold Pins did the work on 2nd, with Pollip Pouch and Fractured Mask of course.
