The Key of Heretic can be found in the upper left room of The Slab where you can retrieve your items from the guards. You will need to find the Key of Indolent first to make your way up to this item.
Key of Indolent Location and Where to Use
How to Get Key of Heretic
| Key of Heretic Guide | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Unlock the Indolent Door and head to the right to find a room where you will be fighting enemies. Use the spikes to assist you in battle. |
| 2 | Climb up the area with your Cling Grip and Swift Step. Avoid the traps while going up. |
| 3 | Go up to find a cold area of The Slab. Stick to heat sources whenever possible to avoid taking damage from the cold. |
| 4 | Rest on a bench found to the right side of the area. |
| 5 | Head down to find a group of guards with your items. Beat all of them to get the Key of Heretic. |
The Key of Heretic is available to get by defeating waves of enemies found in the room to the upper left of The Slab. In the first time you enter this area, your items will not be available.
Climb the right side of the area with only Cling Grip and Swift Step. Then, drop down to the area until you get to the area.
Where to Use Key of Heretic
Door Near the Guard Room

The Key of Heretic unlocks the door near where you fought the guards to retrieve this item. Use it to quickly get back to the central area of The Slab.
Trap Door that Leads to the Lower Area of The Slab

The Key of Heretic unlocks the large trap door at the center of The Slab. This unlocks the middle area which contains the Bellway and Bench, as well as a connecting area to Mount Fay.
Door that Leads to the First Sinner

A door found in the lower area of The Slab can be unlocked by the Key of Heretic. This gives you access to the First Sinner, which gives you the Rune Rage skill upon defeating it.
